Who's idealizing Francis? I'm not claiming he's as good as Payton. I'm saying he has the physical tools to become better.

As for Crawford... I saw him play for Michigan, and he's *not* as athletic as Francis. Sorry, just not true. Secondarily... who cares what Chicago is saying? last year, all the Rockets were saying they had the best team ever coming out of spring training. Granted, some people got hurt, but they looked pretty bad when everyone was healthy. Crawford hasn't proven anything. By your argument, Harold Miner would be an all-time great. We'll see... but Crawford just doesn't seem to have Francis' quickness.

One more word on Crawford: HE WAS DRAFTED SIGNIFICANTLYA FTER MILES. If this potential is truly so manifest, why was he drafted after someone even less developed than himself? Look at the pre-draft literature... there weren't any high quality PG's this time around. They all came out last year. I'm not saying the literature is always right... but it's a hell of a lot more reliable than the Bulls training camp.

You pretty much dropped the argument concerning the Bulls. Look at it this way: the Rockets were as far away fromt he Bulls as Phoenix was as far away from houston. Pretty significant.

The 20 pts per game really doesn't mean that much to me. Go look at some ex-clip stats if you think otherwise... the Bulls didn't have another scoring threat. The rebounding, I concede, is impressive... BUT...

Francis, positionally speaking, is a BETTER REBOUNDER THAN BRAND. Francis was, I believe, the 2nd or 3rd leading rebounder among PG's.

You also dropped my argument that playing day-in-and day out against harder competition woudl have worn Brand out-and made his tricks familiar.

We can't completely resolve this right now, but I find it unceasingly irritating that you fail to respond to most of what I'm saying, and then make little blip answers about irrelevant issues.

Marbury is an interestig comparison, and seems to be as quick as Francis, but doesn't seem to have the same kind of vertical leap. I don't know what his vertical is, but it hasn't been nearly as talked about as Francis... which it would be, if it was equivalent. Also, Marbury doesn't rebound as well, and is more of a locker room cancer. He scores alot, but is more selfish with the ball. Marbury is surrounded by talent, but has not capitalized.
