Baseball season is comming soon guys. Are we going to have another team like Angels rise up? or will it be an old power(yanks)? Here are my picks: AL-East: NY AL-Central: Minn. AL-West: Oakland Wildcard: Chicago WS or Anah NL-East: Atlanta NL-Central:St. Louis NL-West: LA Wildcard: Philli or Hou I hope the stros can put something good together this season. Although I would much rather of had them go after a solid pitcher like Colon, Jeff Kent will add atleast 30 hr and 100 rbi's. Our pitching depth is really really thin.
Hmmm... AL-East- NYY AL-Central- Min. AL-West- Ana. AL-WC- Bos. NL-East- Phi NL-Central- Hou NL-West- Az NL-WC-StL
AL East-Yankees AL Central-White Sox AL West-Oakland AL WC-Anaheim NL East-Atlanta NL Central-Houston NL West-Los Angeles NL WC-Philadelphia
AL East: Yankees (As if they needed to add another player - here comes Godzilla) AL Central: White Sox (A few more pieces might do it for them this year) AL West: Angels (Just a guess) AL WC: Red Sox (Subliminal Red Sox fan) NL East: Phillies (I can't vote for Atl or NYM) NL Central: Cardinals (Sad but true) NL West: Diamondbacks (Johnson and Schilling are too tough again) NL WC: Houston (Here's to hoping!)
AL-East: NY (which David will slay the Goliath this year) AL-Central: Minn. (ChiSox are overrated and even if they weren't, this team has some studs) AL-West: Oakland (Gotta go with my team. Don't be surprised if Beltran is an A by August) Wildcard: Anaheim (same position as last year...how could they complain) NL-East: NYM (I like Art Howe) NL-Central: Hou (Hidalgo bounces back to make them the most feared lineup in the NL) NL-West: SF (Strange situation...Chip on their shoulder and feel they have more to prove this year) Wildcard: LA (Jim Tracy and pitching staff do everything right)
Fearless guesstimations... AL East: NY Yankees AL Central: Minnesota AL West: Anaheim Wildcard: Oakland NL-East: Atlanta NL-Central: St. Louis NL-West: Arizona Wildcard: Philadelphia WS Series: NY Yankees (damn them!) AL MVP: Alex Rodriguez NL MVP: Jim Thome AL Cy Young: Barry Zito NL Cy Young: Curt Schilling

What significant thing could happen between now and the last week of spring training? Injuries don't count because injuries may very well happen during the six month season. There may be some minor free agent signings, but I doubt there will be an acquisitions of any significance.
What is the Astros' rotation? What is the Cards' rotation? Can Bagwell throw the ball from first to home? Are Hee Seop Choi and/or Bobby Hill going to start, or will the Cubbies go with the retreads Karros & Grudzilanek? How does Biggio look in CF? What will the Stros' bully look like? And about 15,000 other questions around the league that we can only speculate as to the answers. All we can do now is make guesses based on gut feeling and past performance. I choose to wait & see how things shake out.
I understand all that, but it's still not too significant. Right now, you have a very good idea about who the good teams will be and who the bad teams will be. I'll bet anyone that nothing significant comes out of spring training that would drastically alter my prediction. Knowing who the Astros 5th starter is going to be isn't too significant in my mind.
