You're right. I forgot about the Raptors. But anyway, I asked that question because it shows how much of player fans we all are, and how all the labelling is really inane.
I agree. Let the season roll. I voted for Hakeem for bringing 2 chips for Houston. Heck Harden and Lin did not even bring us to a playoffs 'yet'.
1. Dream 2. Rudy T 3. Drex 4. Horry 5. Yao/T-Mac 6. Harden 7. Mad Max 8. Energizer Bunny Brooks 9. Pete Chilcutt
Hi Sherlock, Thanks for your email There is no shame in voting for Lin if he is your all time favorite Rocket. Remember, this post is about FAVORITE not longest tenure Rocket or even best Rocket. Afterall, Lin has been with us during last season as well technically speaking if you may recollect. I for one feel that this board should promote members from sharing their views (whatever they may be) and Jeremy Lin being your favorite Rocket of all time fits that criteria. So everyone, please vote freely Thanks Original Poster
Longhorn Fan, I have been a Rocket Fan since 84 and a poster of this board for over 10 years now so I think I am qualified as a "REAL Rockets fan" as you so call it. But I am a bit distrurbed by how you treat our new members to this board. The post clearly states "your favorite" and who are you to tell them who they can and can't like. If their favorite is Moochie Norris because the guy has funky hair, so be it. I think there is no room for profanity on this board as we are all "REAL Rocket fans" or if you must, new people who are now following the Rockets so we should treat everyone kindly. Thanks
This is a good post. Respect. Lin has also brought a lot of fans with him that have grown to love the whole rockets team, while there are some blatant LOFers, most seem to support the team as a whole. Furthermore, "real rockets fans" need to start somewhere, while this is a wild generalisation, I reckon a lot of "real rockets fans" became rockets fans after/during the Hakeem years as he was a complete beast (HOFers) and have grown to love the club after that. I think everyone is being too hard on the Lin fans - we're just expanding our fan base which is a good thing.
So true. I've been a Rockets fan since 1994, their first championship. NEVER missed a Yao/T-mac game. Just wasn't fan enough to go online and talk about it. Lin has this effect. Don't quite know why, but hey.
As a fellow longhorn, you need to chill bro. These LOF fans just don't know how it was during the glory years. Don't let them rile you up. They are just late to the party. Hakeem forever.
My only question is why the OP included Lin in this?? Second, if you're gonna include Lin, why not Harden as well....seems to me the OP is trolling
