Great news! Glad to have him back. Still would love to see Mike Capps named the play-by-play. They'd make a great combo.
Let's hope he brings back some of that 1998-2005 mojo. And by "mojo" I am of course referring to steroids.
Awesome. Really sad JD is gone. But having AA back will bring back some Astros feel....if I ever get to see a game on TV.....ahem....csn
If I recall correctly, he did radio and Milo had issues with him, so instead of giving him the larger role he wanted with milo going part time, they hired Raymond and Dolan.
According to Ken Hoffman of the chronicle, Brown will return. Brown was contemplating retirement. The Astros did not want to lose him or Deshaies. They apparently offered JD quite a nice package, but they could not compete with the newness, appeal and spectrum of Chicago.
I think Brownie and Ashby might be kind of stale. They're both more straight men than funny like JD. I guess we'll see or won't see if the CSN crap is still going on.
Nice! Happy to see Ashby back. I liked that he was willing to be critical of the team when they stunk.
Less than that when you consider those of us outside Houston that don't have it as well. No deal with Time Warner means most of central Texas won't see the games either.
