First of all, let's get rid of the pipe dream players out of the way: Dwight, CP3, Aldridge, Love. These guys aren't coming here IMO.

Realistically, I still maintain over and over that the Rockets want to play small. And they want perimeter players upgrade over the PF position. Which means Granger or Iguodala. The versatility becomes awesome.

    Small ball lineup
    Asik/Parsons/Iggy/Harden/Lin

    Big ball lineup
Asik/Patterson(or Morris/DMo/Jones)/Parsons/Iggy/Harden where Harden, Iggy, and Parsons all share PG duties.

I think having an extra versatile two-way player will make the Rockets much deadlier from a matchup standpoint. While a traditional PF would make us too inflexible against opposing matchups. Of course, the exception being we actually get a star level PF like Love.

Morey already said he's got the core he wants to develop (Harden, Lin, Asik and Parsons), so don't expect the team to be blown up anytime soon. I predict a big free agent (most likely a 4) signing this summer to utilize that $7M cap.

    I thought DH's FT is 50%? I do hope Lin's 3s can reach that :)

Total agree, most here seem to be playing fantasy league with no consideration for compatibility between players and team chemistry. What has Howard done for the LAL?

Some of them need to get on the bus next to Royce. ;)

Does all of clutchfans have a twitter? It would seem so, with how many times players tweets come up.

    I'll change OP's question to, "in the summer of 2014";

PG: Lin (or preferably 3pt shooting PG)
    SG: Harden
    SF: Parsons
    PF: LeBron James
    C: Asik

Wait for Lebron to hit free agency in 2014 and throw the money at him.

Wade is fading by the minute, and the next great SG he'll have the chance to play with is Harden (who he already appreciates).

Either play him at PF or trade Parsons+Asik for a force in the paint and play LeBron at SF.

    This is my dream scenario.

I'd rather not spend the cap space just to spend it. Need money to re-sign Parsons, Smith, Jones, D-Mo down the road.

I want see what D-Mo and Jones have before we acquire a FA PF because I feel like that would be the target with that being the weakest position right now.

You mean with a fantasy team of Aldridge, Asik, Parsons and Lin backing up Chris Paul, Harden, AI9, Love and Howard, with a salary of ~$120M/yr, you couldn't find a better back-up SG than Toney Douglas?

1+1 doesn't mean equal two in basketball

another star for rocket could be a plus or could be a damage

see how laker is doing now when their roster looks full of star in every position

while the present roster has been doing well, and beating strong teams too, what we need maybe is just be more patience and let chemistry build up further, in stead of breaking the present team spirit and chemistry by trading.

elite team always grows together as a group, our 4 might not be a star, but whenever they are functioning well in this team, they are good pieces already, especially they are young.

Young players grows with experience and confidence, there's still lots of room for our 4 to grow, just be more patience~~~

This seems likely, or replace Millsap with Josh Smith.
