I came here accidently searching for porns. I was suppose to go into www.crotchcity.net but i guess i'm bad in spelling.
Wizkid Your problem (as I can deduce) is that everything around you evolved but you refused to do the same - that is a big problem.
Been a fan since about 1990. I try to be constructive in my criticism. I am almost always positive about the Rockets performance and their future.
We are in the same clan. I dont know how you long time Rox fan pull yourself together in last 3 years.
Ditto. Rockets fan since Ralph Sampson hit that last second turnaround alley oop jump shot against the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Supremely frustrated during the Olajuwon, Drexler, Barkley, Pippen years (first signs that Rudy T couldn't develop a system to capitalize on his talent). Had to stop watching the Rockets during the heyday of Stevie Franchise and Cuttino Mobley for the sake of my mental health. Back up and running with Yao. Recent poster out of concern for the Rockets' failings.
How about running the old poll generator thing through a speller before making the poll? Wouldn't want to have one of those Jazz fans here saying we can't spell, and such. Wait a minute... we can go there and say their players flop! Now that would make a great THREAD! (already there )
See what I mean when I said this forum is now all about ppl attacking or defending each other I don't think this bbs literally evolved. Like I said, when I first came here I felt a sense of belonging. Maybe because the forum at the time was small and only really really die-hard fan(atics) were able to find this site and share their love for the Rox. Not that they weren't criticisms but definitely no where near the bashing that's seen recently. As this site grew and more and more people have access to internet and join this site, it became just another bbs, somewhere for people to vent themselves. The coherence that was once found on this site is now completely lost. So Fengwu, I don't think its that I'm refusing to evolve with the site, I think its more of me feeling sad at the deteoration of this site.
I agree with you wizkid. When I first started coming to this site there was hardly ever any bashing. Plus a lot of the really good posters like Doc and OP quit posting after it started getting bad.
I have been a Rockets fan since '86. I was 15 when I "camped out" for finals tickets at the Summit that year. Got really into them around '90 and I have watched every game I could since then. I have been coming to ClutchCity.net (.com) since 1998? but never got into the bbs until recently. I hardly ever post in the Game Action forum. I was going to wait till we made the playoffs to post here, but hell, I'm bored. The fair weather fans/bashers here just plain SUCK. This Rockets team is young. Out future is so bright. It is going to be great to watch this team grow and get better and better. Enjoy the ride, and support your team. It takes way more than half a season to get good. There is so much potential in Yao, it is just awesome. Thank the basketball Gods this guy ended up here in Houston. BE APPRECIATIVE. Right now is just the beginning. I think most of the Rockets bashers here are just plain SPOILED. Getting to the level that the Rockets were in the '90s took a lot of time. And even then it was a roller coaster ride. Anyone here remember Choke City? Could you imagine what the bashers would be saying if that was to happen nowadays? Yeah it sucks when we lose, but growing pains are worth it in the end. Be a real fan damn it! Go Rockets!
Been a rockets fan since the days of the Twin Towers, which for me was first grade. Followed them religiously during the late 80's early 90's into middle school all the while being teased by friends who've moved onto "cooler" teams to root for (i.e. Hornets, Magic, Bulls, Lakers, etc.) Left H-town for Dallas to attend college and have been a long distance fan, following games on-line and of course through CC.net. Just moved back home, so I can watch all the games I want to now!! I'm the kind of fan who wants them to win every game and gets real upset, frustrated when they blow games they should win. games such as last night against the jazz, against the cavs, against the bulls... oh man... the list seems endless. God, please get us a win tonight, pretty please?!?
That made you fair-weather! I didn't give up post-Hakeem and pre-Yao. The basketball then was not great to watch but I still watched them. You just had to convince yourself and hope for the best. I think my patience has paid off (well hopefully).
have everybody notice that there's less Yao related threads lately, are those Yao only fans have became Rockets fans during the course of time?
