Mason and Richardson can dunk as well as or better than those "stars". I just want to watch the best dunkers, regardless of their status in the league.

Quality might be lacking but watching tall men try to dunk/shoot 3s is hilarious in itself. It's called entertainment.

Also they should get Yao into the 3 pt shootout next year. I think he can do better than Walker.

Richardson is a nasty dunker but I lost a lot of respect for him with that classless play at the end of the rookie/sophmore game. If he threw the ball off my face at the end of a game to show me up I would have knocked the living $hit out of him. I can't believe that Boozer didn't do anything.

It's a common playground move... don't get all ticked off about it.

Boozer should kick the $hit out of himself for being duped on national TV.

If anyone was expecting to watch tennis or golf, then I'm sorry.

Maybe Boozer should've played defense and stole the damn ball.

Why was 6'10 Boozer trying to guard Richardson out there, he had no business out there. If your a big man and you want to come out there, you're at the mercy of that guard. I thought his move was entertaining and I'm pretty certain no big man will come out there and try to guard him, well at least not Boozer.

It was bad for Richardson to do that move but Boozer put himself in that situation, as a big man he should stay inside. As a g/f I know that if a big man comes out on me, I'd burn them just as bad.

I always thought they should have a big center three point shoot out. this was back in the day during the early, mid 90s when there were centers in the league. I wanted to see Hakeem, and Zo, and Patrick Ewing, Robinson, and Shaq have a three point contest. That is entertainment.

The game was played just like a real streetball game so u have to expect streetball type moves. That was a great play thats what the fans want to see.

I'll try that in NBA Live 98. Maybe I'll throw in Yinka Dare.

The rookie game is meant to have fun, and showcase some of the wide array of skills of the rookies. Personally, I want to see people dribble fancy. I like seeing killer crossovers, I like seeing Jason Williams throw the ball off of Pau Gasol's back, and I like seein J-rich clown Carlos Boozer. I want to see if some of these NBA guards are capable of doing some of the fancy stuff that the playground legends can do. Elbow pass > regular bounce pass. Throw the ball off the head + jumper > regular jumper.

Do you think that in some way, they are bringing shame to the game by doing the more fancy stuff?

Wasn't the rookie game an exhibition showcase? Anyone who takes the game seriously (like Boozer) needs to get checked out.

That Richardson off the head of Boozer, pop and stop move was nice. Boozer needs to grow up, it's a showcase not a knock em' sock em' defensive war out there. I applaud JRich for playing for the fans, that is clearly what this weekend is about.

Yes, it was. There's still no reason to humiliate someone, though. The excessive dunking, lack of 'D', and no-look passes were all cool. All in good fun...I probably would have been dissapointed if it were any other way. The missed lobs and turnovers were all bearable, because I knew that we would see some pretty awesome dunks/etc... But there is a line...

The fact that Boozer wasn't upset makes it a little better, but I think I would have been pretty angry.

It was good, but the DC with Francis, Carter, McGrady and Ricky Davis was the best one EVER!!!
