I was impressed that he took the team on his shoulders tonight in the first half...he was unstoppable and played within himself. This is his team, he knows it, and he's taking that responsibilty...props to Stevie...keep it up for 32 more.

Yeah, but crunch time (tonight) in the 4th quarter, he didn't score. Anyone can score in the first 3 quarters.

Crunch time with a 20 point lead, did you even watch the game?

Fact: Stevie disappeared in the 4th. It's like he wasn't even playing. Kobe probably would have had 20 in the 4th. He needs to learn (or maybe he doesn't have the ability to) put the dagger in his opponents hearts. Take Steve out and put Hawkins in and what does Hawk do? Hawkins nails the jumper to put it away.

yes i agree, francis has been phenomonal. i think he really took BIG O's advice to heart. He has involved Yao more and seems to have taken responsiblity for the team. After last nights collapse, he said that the team needs to fight back the next day and he made sure they did. Props to steve

Karl Malone getting socked in the nose twice by his own teammates were the best moments of the past two games for me.

Until I read that line for Steve.

Let's hope he can keep this going for the rest of the season. I'd like to see him keep his scoring to about 20-22 ppg though. If Cat doesn't get traded, he's bound to catch fire, and can take some of the scoring burden off of Stevie.

Two pretty good games and performances by Steve and Yao and where am I? In San Antonio for my freakin' company. Arrrgg... oh well, at least I saw one of the games. :)

The Yao/Francis Dynamic Duo appears to have hit another level... we'll see.

    Go Rockets!

    I like these numbers. 2 TURNOVERS! 12 Assists! 6/1 A/T ratio!

Fact: Kobe's been sitting out most of the 4th while he's been on his 40+ point tears as of late. So while he might put 20 more points in the 4th, he hasn't had the chance too. What's so amazing to me, is Francis and Kobe got their points in 3 quarters. That's insane!

Nobody gets sent to SA unless they've done something very bad.

I hope this teaches you a lesson.

    gr8: You are hilarious! :D

Steve said a couple of interesting things in postgame:

    1. They were heartbroken by the loss last night. He said that they had it won but "one of the young guys just made a mistake on the last play of regulation." He wasn't pissed at all. He just said it like, "Well, that happens sometimes." He obviously wasn't mad at Yao. They sat next to each other on the bench and spent the 4th clowning around and making jokes.

    2. When Bill asked him about Oscar Robertson and Fran's column, Steve said, "Oscar said some of the things Fran wrote." He then went on to say what an honor it was to meet him and how he told him that he needed to be a leader.

Thought that was a funny little dig at Blinebury. :)

I don't care about koby, but steve is the king tonight, especially after a devastating loss like yesterday. I can see he is getting more mature. I'm glad he act like a real leader of the team.

I don't think Yao had a great game tonight. He played good defensively. But he still need to work on his offense. All his 6 rebs are defensive rebounds and he made way too much jump shots tonight.

Sure gr8-1 is just joking. Read his past posts, he's the biggest Steve Francis fan around.

Who is this young guy? Yao or Morris?

Why would he be mad at Yao? It was Terrance Morris who was standing around watching while his man, Harpring, hit the three.
