With some possible head coach openings, i.e. the Eagles.....will Wade Phillips be in contention for a head coaching job?

Not sure how long he plans to stay here...anyone know?

With the poor defense recently....has the NFL caught on to his plan? Has he lost his magical touch?

He's always been successful at first..then a few years down the road gets fired for being inept...... Is this the same case for our pathetic defense the last half of this season?

If he leaves, i wouldnt mind going hard at pursuing Rex Ryan if he isnt fired. If not fire Kubiak and hire Cowher. This team needs something. A real change is needed. This team is built to deceive and fool the opposition, however, teams arent biting hard on the playaction anymore, and something seriously is wrong with Matts deep ball...

I don't know if ever really had a magical touch. Going back through his history as a DC and head coach and how his defenses ranked, he's had as man bad defenses as he's had good and many mediocre seasons in between.

I think were were all in awe after the way the defense improved last season, but Wade's defenses are no sure thing and we shouldn't think that the defense will be good as long as he's here or that we're doomed if he leaves.

I'm hoping that the lackluster performance of our defense over the last 6-8 weeks will make him blend in with the crowd. He would be a "re-tread" coaching option, and it seems like a handful of the teams will want a new/flashy/fresh/young direction to go in. I say he's still here next year...

I remember someone last year saying Wade's defenses traditionally get worse each year when he takes over. I'm really hoping that's not the case.

I don't know what has caused the Texans collapse these past few games, but the main issue at this point it not the defense. Its the offense (no touch downs) and special teams is an embarrassment.

Please Please Please fire Kubiak. Please!!!!!!!

Texans need to spend almost the entire draft on offense. Namely OL, WR, TE, and QB. Maybe a pick or 2 on LB.

Again we say bring in the chin. I'm sure Gruden would love to coach this team.

The season before the Wade signing I wanted the Gruden/Phillips combination. But...we know what happened. GO TEXANS

Nobody wants Wade Phillips as head coach. That ship has sailed.

Not only did it sail, it was tugged out to sea and piloted out of the harbor circa the early 90's, made hundreds of transoceanic crossings delivering hundreds of millions of tons of containers, changed its registry to Liberian, was relegated to regional dry hauling duty, decommissioned, and was finally beached in Alang, India and set-upon by shipbreakers, fully stripped with most of the hulk being melted down into steel rebar which was used to build highway overpasses.

yeah right the defense is playing great!

giving a 70-yard TD, in a 3rd and 23 was a major point on why the texans lost.
Watt is the only one playing good.

It is really lame when you see other defenses create pressure with 4 or even 3 man rushes. While the Texans probably lead the league in sending 5 or more after the QB, and only one of those can consistently do anything.
