J Lin and Terrence Jones for John Wall and Ariza

Washington does it to sell on Wall getting 2 good looking prospects and unloading Ariza's contract

Houston gets John Wall, a near perfect fit for what our team is doing.

IMO James Harden for Bargnani would be great. We would be getting a nice piece to compliment Lin, and Toronto would have a great player in return. Win-win.

Patterson and White's contract to San Antonio for Leonard and Bonner.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=d7zvtv2

The Spurs get out of Bonner's contract (he gets paid $4 million next season). This way they have room to re-sign Manu, Diaw, Splitter and Blair. Patterson is the perfect stretch four they need next to Duncan and Blair.

    Duncan / Blair / Diaw
    Patterson / Splitter / (White)
    Ginobili / Jackson
    Green / Anderson
Parker / Mills / Joseph / de Colo

The Rockets don't Patterson next to Asik. Leonard can play the 4 and create mismatches all night long.

    Asik / Smith / D-Mo
    Leonard / Morris / Jones
    Parsons / Delfino
    Harden / Cook
    Lin / Douglas / Machado

Not only would it be utterly foolish to start a 6'6 SF at PF, but why would the Spurs trade away a very promising young player on a championship contending roster?

    Nah...no chance

they'd start Kawhi at 3 and Parsons would battle Morris/Jones/Donatas for the starting 4 spot.

Anyway, it's a bad deal for San Antonio. The salary drop argument doesn't make sense, they actually add 2 mil with this deal (Bonner is only 1 mil guaranteed).

Even if you rebuilt the deal in a way where they actually save $$ instead of taking them on, and they were in a bad salary situation (they aren't), it still wouldn't make sense to give up someone like Kawhi to resign a bunch of inferior players.

Think, we have capspace and 4s of the future (Jones, Donuts, Mmorris). Some of you guys are throwing away our starting 3 for nothing. We can stand pat if nothing great flips up our skirt and wheel and deal a year from now.

Leonard can split minutes with Morris and backup Parsons. He does not need to start. I think the Spurs would be interested in that deal if we take Bonner and add in other sweeteners.

You guys say you want to trade Patterson, just not for Leonard.

It's obviously a joke, but I would trade Harden in an instant in we got back Durant and Ibaka.
