We have all seen these I want csn petitions and what not, but it looks like other than few people on this site no one cares about the rockets. There is nothing on the radio. The few games I have been to (except the lakers) have been pretty empty. The rockets TV ratings are pretty bad. What impetus will cause the uverse to change their mind? The thing is I am not going to stop watching when they come back. It seems like the rockets are screwing their most passionate fans because they know they can beat them around, but they will come back.
Fans in Houston really still can't see the Rockets? Are you kidding me? One of the biggest markets in America (despite the Toyota Center attendance). smh
I'm a Houston native who's been living in Austin the last 30+ years, but we always go to Houston for Christmas. Not having missed a game yet this season, my streak continued due to sheer luck. On Christmas day, the Rocks were on ESPN (as everyone here knows), so I saw the game, and then my S.O. had to work Thursday in Austin, so we drove back Wednesday, getting here in time to see the second game of the back-to-back. While in Houston, I talked to several people about not being able to see the games and yes, every one of them are royally pissed off about it. Livid. Angry. Furious. I'm shocked that this hasn't been resolved.
I hope you will, because the Rockets is a fun team to watch! And you may want to pray that Lin plays well, because he was the reason Time Warner Cable and MSG ended their cable dispute.
Portland hasn't been able to watch their team on TV for the last 5 years I believe. Hopefully that is not the case with us
no but, we will get to see the astros! hoooray. they do overlap though so we might watch some april basketball and our first round upset of the grizzlies. =)
I think they would show the playoff games on local television any ways. If not then a lot of those games are nationally televised any ways.
you're right. but i hate seeing national 'analyst' not named jvg. I miss cornbread, bull and dare i say hehehehe clyde hehehe.
Only hope is Jim pushes for deals to be made in March. I think he understands he needs his fan base to be able to follow the team daily in order to rebuild a fan base at mmp. I don't think Les even knows the stadium is mostly empty most nights, he is just counting the cash he got from comcast.
Real people don't own/use Comcast. I've had it in the past and thought it was pretty bad. Customer service mainly.
Much like congress, the hardasses have taken a position and don't want to look like p*****s by making a deal. If we haven't made the deal by now, we are in it for the long haul. We'd need some type of a technical win/win that both sides can declare victory over. I think "No Rockets 2012/13".
What's that old saying...maybe next year? Ditto JayG and BigM. Perhaps by baseball season a deal is done but by then, it won't matter for basketball(as the season will be [nearly] over, or if we make the playoffs, it'll be on national TV and you won't need Comtrash.)
