Not even sure if the Rockets can make that. The following teams will be in:

    Automatic:

    1) Kings
    2) Mavs
    3) Lakers
    4) Spurs
    5) Blazers

    Almost automatic

    6) Jazz (Stockton/Malone just know how to win)
    7) Timberwolves (Garnett/Wally always gets into playoffs)
    8) Suns (Will be better once Penny comes back)

The Rockets don't seem to be maturing as intelligenct players and even if by some chance they are good next year, Rox mostly likely can't crack the top 5. At best the Rox will be fighting for the 7 or 8 spot to serve as a sacraficial first round sweep victim.

However, I can still see the Rockets missing the playoffs next year becuase even though the Rockets will be better (hopefully) so will everyone else. The reason I bring this up is because the Rockets just seem stagnant in terms of player and offensive development.

With all of the talent we have, we are going to end up as a sub-.500 team by the end of the month. Inexcusable.

Patience. Patience is the key. Rockets with this team is a powerhouse in years to come. Don't worry.
