If any of you guys read this, I am begging you guys to get Eddie out of the starting line up and bring in a real PF. Watching old man Malone school us again is killing me. :( Not talking about potential. But as of RIGHT NOW, Eddie is the WORST starting PF in the league.

    :(

Eddie is not the worst PF in the league, he is very young with a lot of talent. I am losing patience though.

I would say to start Mo Taylor or even TMo who has been playing great.

Finally, a thread with some merit.

We are lacking a true POWER forward. We don't need an Horry clone.

Management here. We've got KG, Duncan, and Brand on the phone. They all have their bags packed, and we need to know which one gets the nod. Please get back ASAP. Peace out.

Eddie is hitting the sophomore wall now. So give him time....
    on the bench.

But I heard Rudy say that the reason he wants MoT to start from the bench is that MoT is the instant offense for the 2nd unit.

If Eddie is in the second unit, then who's the go to guy in the 2nd quarter? Cato is no offense, Moochie is off this season, Mobley? Asking too much. Terrace M. maybe but a rise.

Not the worst in the league??? Dont be too sure about that. Here is a comprehensive list of every starting PF. Keep in mind, we are talking about how valuable they are NOW, not in the next 3 years.

    MIDWEST
    Dallas-Nowitski
    San Antonio-Duncan
    Utah-Malone
    Minnesota-Garnett
    Denver-Howard
    Memphis-Gasol

    PACIFIC
    Sacramento-Webber
    Portland-Rasheed
    Phoenix-Amare
    Lakers-Samaki Walker (arguable)
    Seattle-Radmonovich (arguable)
    Golden State-Antawn
    Clippers-Brand

    ATLANTIC
    New Jersey- Kmart
    Boston- Walker
    Philly-Van Horn
    Washington-Laetner
    Orlando-Garrity
    New York-Weatherspoon (arguable)
    Miami-Malik Allen

    CENTRAL
    Indiana- Oneal
    Detroit-Wallace
    Milwaukee-Mason
    New Orleans-PJ
    Atlanta-Rahim
    Chicago-Marshall
    Toronto-Davis
    Cleveland-Hill

CONCLUSION- Out of the 29 starting PFs, 25 are clearly better than EG. So essentially, EG is competing against 3 guys to become the coveted WORST STARTING PF in the league.

Samaki sucks but sorta does his job. At least he doesnt hurt the team by not thinking he is a 3 pt shooter.

Radmonivich isnt great but plays his role well. Personally, I think he is much more developed than EG and if I had to win 1 game, I would pick Rad over EG.

Weatherspoon is a bit small and old but he knows his capabilities and does his job. But to be fair, I think Eddie might edge the spoon out on this one.

So I guess your right... EG isnt the worst starting PF in the league. He is #28 out of 29.

And maybe EG shouldn't be playing that much. :(

We need improvement in the PF position almost as badly as we need a new coach. I can't think of a PF in our division that EG can outplay. With the trading deadline only 9 days away, I hope Les is looking hard.

van horn isn't a power forward. the power forwards in philly are derrick coleman and kenny thomas. not that that actually makes a difference in this arguement because i think both of them are better than Griffin at this point in his career...

i don't believe antoine walker players power forward either. i thought he played small forward but i'm not certain about that...

Not to beat a dead horse, but Elton Brand faced off against Amare Stoudemire tonight. Brand outplayed him by a solid margin --

    Brand v. Stoudemire
    Points: 29 to 12
    Boards: 11 (8 offensive) to 13 (5 offensive)
    Blocks: 2 to 0

Brand also generally outhustled Stoudemire. He was focused and wanted to win, just like usual.

Yeah.. Some teams dont have a clear cut PF. But if you notice last Wednesdays Philly game, the 2 starting forwards were Van Horn and Aaron Mckie. So I am sure that Van Horn was the PF in that situation vs the much shorter Mckie. But I guess injuries have something to do with it as well.

As for Walker, he is a PF. They play Eric Williams as the SF.

Anyways, Van Horne and Walker both play PF in my fantasy league :D

Malone is the really reason why we lost tonight. Wonder why Rudy didn't put Cato on him cause Cato seemed to be the only guy who could get in his face. Normally Cato will be too slow to cover a PF, but Malone is 40 years old, Cato should've been able to contain him much better than anybody. Oh well, maybe I should copy this comment to the game thread...

You guys need to collectively make up your mind. What do you really want? We can't have too much change. Choose only one out of four:
    1. Trade Mobley for a good PG. Move Steve to 2.
    2. Trade Griffin and some others for a good PF.
    3. Fire Rudy.
    4. This is a young team, let's see after next season. If no improvement, then actions will be taken.

Geez... a simple 4 options and none of you has the same opinion. ;)

Now you understand why the Management is confused on what to do.

You can do 1,2 and 3 in 10 minutes on the phone. Four is the coward's way.

This is my other post on another thread. I think it's also suitable here.

Classic case of win now not later huh? Patience is virtue but in the world of sports there is none nowadays.

Please remember: We are a very young team. EG's only 20. Didn't Jermaine O'Neal and Tracy McGardy teach you something? Not that I think EG will be as good as them but he can certainly become good enough for us. Be patient and enjoy the ride. :)
