Looks like this cold front may have finally started Winter in Houston. Consistent cold temps for the next 10 days.
If I leave my dog outside because the b**** won't come inside is that bad? I mean obviously bad for her, but should I feel guilty?
Took my dog for a walk earlier and the wind was a b****,felt like an expedition to the arctic.I also had a 75 ft tree in the back yard blow over
I'll take it!! I also see that rain is on the deck for next week. We get like 10000 days of warm weather.
Love the cold weather but cannot stand that wind. I was away from home and it somehow set off my house alarm, I had two trees fall over and my cushions to my outside furniture, no idea where they went.
I got about 3-4 inches of snow in my backyard in Dallas yesterday. Woohoooo... made a snowball, threw it, and went back inside. Temperatures were in the teens earlier today. Windchill was probably 0-single digits. Brrr... awesome winter/Christmas weather, though.
Dude, uncool. The dogs peed on 'em btw so you probably don't want them. Just throw 'em over the fence.
Yesterday leaving the movie theater at 5:00 I got to face that wind. First time in my life I'd nearly been knocked down by gusting wind; da-yumn.
It's not that so much as I like the idea of actual seasons. Living in Texas is not exactly conducive to that. Right now, I'd settle for any amount of moisture we can get in central Texas. I think we've gotten around .5" of rain since October. Dry, cold, and windy isn't that fun when you've got to worry about whether your Christmas lights could cause an accidental spark that could take out your whole subdivision.
Getting cold here doesn't seem to be all that uncommon lately...it's STAYING cold. I'm for seasonal temps, personally. It's winter. It should be cold. Also, this time of year is our only reprieve from the humidity. For those of you who prefer warm temps - it's a lot easier to get warm when it's cold outside than it is to cool off when it's hot.
My wife turned the house into a furnace early this morning. You'd think we lived in Russia. How bad is 30 degrees F?
