    Is the basic pick and roll this hard to defend? I mean, we've had 15 or so years to study film on these guys and their 1 play....

    That PA announcer who leads the Yao Ming cheer after each YM basket has an annoying voice. All weird and nasal. "Yao Meeeeng, Yao Meeeng, Yao Meeeng... " They should get someone like Chance to lead the YM cheer!

    i'm missing the game, but catching up with it on sportsline.com...yao with 19 points at the end of the 3rd?:eek: did those days of rest really help him out? how's he looking out there?

    Eric,

    The Jazz were not doubling up on Yao early on and he took advantage by going aggressively to the hole each time he got the ball down low. It is obvious that Ostertag, just like in the last game, can't keep up with the rookie so Yao has been given the green light. I suspect that more than a few veterans and well-wishers at the All Star game had words of advice for Yao to be more assertive in getting his shots. 16 shot attempts so far!
