Thugs and gangsters??? Why do you say that? How come every time street ball is brought up, they are always called thugs and gangsters? Stereotyping is a bad thing.
but he was trying to take it to the next level and said "Yao Ming" but he may want to put Yao Ming on his team. I also remember him saying he doesnt care how much it cost him to win the chip and that...I WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO CHINA!!! Does Steve play on his team? I just saw him arrive at the court but never really noticed what team he played for.
I don't like fat joe either, I don't think hes a decent rapper. I would like to see him lace some sneakers up and run too.
not stereotyping. but lemme ask you this. How come when people are talking about college basketball, world championships, or the nba they never call them streetball, thugs or gangsters? I guess they are stereotyping too.
Okay. SEE...I watched it. ONLY BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE KOBE BRYANT DO SOME MOVES AND STUFF...but they only showed one second of Kobe. And hmm....ONE MILLISECOND of Steve Francis. Anyways...I was like wondering... Fat Joe talking in slang...YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?? OR...YAO MING... lol...Kam. Fat Joe wants to eat Yao Ming...sorry for laughing... Well the show was kinda OK. It's similar to STREETBALL ON ESPN2. I like Streetball better though. Yes...AND I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN CUTTINO MOBLEY'S CRIB man... I need to see it!
Did anyone see when Fat Joe did a Spring Break concert with his shirt off last year. Disturbing As a rapper, I kind of like Fat Joe, but he isn't the most lyrically gifted, I will admitt that. I used to play his CD "Jealous Ones Envy" all the time. Get it J.O.E, "Jealous Ones Envy", for some reason, it took me like 6 months to realize that.
Can you imagine being posted up on by Fat Joe? It would be like Sunday's episode of "The Simpsons" when the masseuse was standing on Homer's back and started sinking into his corpulence like quick sand.
That's good, you basically told me again that you think all the guys in this tourney are gangsters and thugs. Well, I got a chance to watch more of this MTV thing and it didn't seem like it to me. Some of these guys were college players who entered the draft way too early and didn't get drafted. One of them on Joe's team, who they focused on a bit, said it was the biggest mistake because if the NBA wasn't in his future, then at least he could fall back on a degree from Fordham. He apparently is going back to school, and I believe he is ineligible to play. There were also high school grads who were playing there in the summer before they went off to play college basketball. There was also a "legend" who came out of retirement so that he could play with his son. Oh yeah, there were also NBA players there, including Kobe Bryant, AI, and Francis (possible teammates on Team USA). Thugs and gangsters indeed. Dr. J played at Rucker park, I guess it never occured to me that the color of his shirts that he wears with his suits were actually gang colors because you know he has to "keep it real." Anyways, to answer your question, the reason nobody assumes NBA, college, and World Championship players of being thugs and gangsters is because being a thug or a gangster is a negative thing. Stereotypes tend to be negative incase you didn't know. So, because we don't know these guys, we treat them the way we would like to be treated and don't assume that they are bad people until we hear otherwise. On a lighter note, Fat Joe did say Yao Ming, but I still don't know what he meant. He talked about how it was inevitable to lose some key players, then he said something about "cats in Houston," and then he just said "Yao MinG."
AHHHHHHHHHHH... FAT JOE TOPLESS... VERY disturbing... Why did you have to say that? Well it doesn't matter if he's ugly. He's pretty wealthy.
