How good was Anthony Mason? Never really looked at his stats. I thought he was a really good role player but he was selected to a couple of all star games, but only made it to one just on injures or something. Never understood why he was an all star.
There is nothing more hollow and insignificant than "MVP candidate mentions." Watch: "Joakim Noah has been a cornerstone of the Bulls' defense and even offense this season. He should be in the running for MVP." Now pretend that was written in the Chicago Tribune instead of on this site. Nothing has changed.
You say he never played a full season in Sac but he never played a full season anywhere else.. 7 years in Sac he played.
What are you so angry about? Every post I read from you has to contradict something. Webber was averaging 20.7 and 9.8 for his career. In 1999 he was averaging 20 and 13 and in 2001 he averaged 27 and 11. That is definitely MVP type numbers in 2001. Sacramento is where Webber grew to his full potential. Sure, the athleticism was gone, but he became creative with the ball. He played the beautiful game. His game wasn't like Shaq's trying to rip the basket down, he was a lot closer to a Magic with his no look passing and one handed ball fakes. How old were you in 2001? That might be the issue here.
BeeBeard, Hopefully this will cheer you up and remind you that basketball is fun and amazing to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM8lsrwsQqM
Mchale had unbelievable footwork in the post. The argument could be made that he had just as good footwork as hakeem.
How good was ROBERT PARISH?? All the youtube highlights didnt seem to make him look as incredible as his mythos was.
He was gonna be an all time great. Size, speed, finishing ability, court vision. Hops. Dropstep. Europstep. Everything... Then he got injured and basically became a 14 yr vet role player
Grant Hill, had he stayed healthy and Tmac and Hill were together, even with how worthless the rest of the Magic team was, I think they would've won at least 1 title. That was a TALENTED combination. Tmac playing point-forward, hill playing the wing scorer. It would've been pretty much Lebron and Wade, before Lebron and Wade (Hill IMO was better than Wade, Tmac not as good as Lebron, only due to Motor/sheer strength of Lebron).
Greatest passing big man ever... If he had come 5 years earlier, I think he would have had the kind of global impact as Yao Ming in Europe... Just How Good Was Adrian Dantley?
grant hill, tracy mcgrady, and penny hardaway were all point forwards. think of lebron's all around talent, just with less physically gifted bodies. their games were a lot less rigid and smoother than lebron's as well.
