actually... Jaric is a very good player already.. he just has to get accustomed to playing in the NBA.. during the worlds.. he totally outplayed Andre Miller... he plays good defence... he's a good passer... can shoot the ball... most of all.. he plays great team basketball... and I think that's what the rocks need now...

mobley for jaric? I'd do it... but the clips probably wouldn't...

EVERY day of the week, and twice on Sundays, codell.

Cuttino - selfish, undersized, brain-dead, ballhog.

    Jaric - passer, 6'7", smart, court-vision.

I have no idea why you'd prefer the former. Cat points come at the expense of the team. If you love his scoring, you love losing.

Brand/Jaric for Cat/Griffin would be too much. I'd have a heart attack. Jaric is the just the kind of guy that can get Steve/YM the ball. I'm pretty sure the Clips have him pencilled in as starting pg next season (or Jan 21), too. They'll run Jaric with Q or Maggette and Odom. They'll lose Kandi and try to resign Brand. They hope Wilcox and Ely come alone.

It'd take more than Cat and Eddie. Now, if Brand is walking, then Cat/Eddie plug in with Jaric/Odom pretty good. We have a better chance of getting Q with Brand, as he's in the gang of 4 (Kandi, Brand, Odom, Q) that reported to Gentry they were playing only for stats/new contracts.

But sure, I'd love to pry Jaric away for our team. Dude was en fuego in early Jan., before he went down.

I can PROMISE you that if Baylor called Rudy and offered Jaric straight up for Mobley, Rudy might suffocate from laughing so much.

I am not knocking Jaric, but if we trade Cat, I am sure we could do much better than Jaric. Ive seen probably 5-7 Clipper games this year and Jaric does indeed have a future. However, you don't trade proven 20 PPG scoring vets for un-proven rookies. And despite some of Jaric's solid games, he is still un-proven.

Also, as of right now, and aside from Steve, Cat is our only proven outside scoring threat. From what I have seen of Jaric and by looking at his stats, hes not a very solid shooter.

I'm gonna have to go with codell on this one. I checked out couple of Jaric's games and I think he's pretty talented and got potential. However, as deceptive as Cat's 20 ppg can be, I still think that's a lot to give up on "potential."

The answer is to trade Cuttino for the draft rights to TJ Ford and a future restricted 1st round pick.

Are you talking to me or someone else? As for me, I'm not putting any weight to the Rookie-Soph or the 3-on3 game. I follow every rookie class closely for fun. I've wanted to get Jaric for months. :)

I wouldn't rely on the allstar game too much.. i mean i think you could have tripped, lost the ball, and wound up with an assist on that floor lol....

I don't question Francis' ability one iota. What I am less sure about is whether he is single-mindedly focused on his team winning and whether he will play every game with that mindset. I hope he proves my concerns are unfounded.

    lol.

We should FORCE Mo Taylor and Kelvin Cato to restructure their contract. Why not? If they really want to stay with our team, they should reduce their salaries for the team. BUT SURE. They're grown men...

I'm assuming you'd keep Francis? OK, so you want a starting backcourt that's 5-10 and 6-2? Uh, don't think that would work. That's why I'm pointing out Jaric: he has a point guard mentality, and he's 6-7.
