Two of best young coaches in the game. Which would you rather have?

I wish the Horns would fire Rick Barnes and make Brad Stevens the highest paid coach in college basketball

Rick Barnes squanders elite talent every year

Stevens. They're both very good, but Brad gets the edge because he has more than one elite year on his resume. Watching his Butler teams against top-notch opponents is fascinating... the discipline and composure they play with are better than anyone else in the country. No one is more prepared. To somehow beat Indiana in overtime with your three best bigs all fouled out is ridiculous. Kudos, Brad.

Brad isn't leaving Butler. He sees Butler as the NEW Duke University. Nice dream anyway.

You know how we talk about Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker as prodigy talents well Shaka Smart and Brad Stevens are prodigy coaches that are both only 35 BUT been doing it for a while NOW...The future is limitless with these two they can be the new Coach K and the new Bobby Knight of this generation... Butler and VCU will remain elite programs as long as BOTH remain with their current teams... Is like in football Buzz Peterson and Gary Patterson...

Tough to really quantify, but I'd say Stevens. I'll give him the edge simply because he's been doing it at such a high level for a longer period of time. It's 1a/1b

    Uhhhhhh.....what?

Brad Stevens and Shaka Smart are obviously phenomenal coaches, but please explain to me since when are Butler and VCU "elite programs". They obviously did well in the NCAA tournament for a couple years, but they are obviously not consistently ranked, consistently high seeds in the NCAA tournament, and obviously don't attract any of the highly rated recruits.

They are definitely not on the Kansas, UNC, UConn, Duke, Kentucky, etc. level.
