IMO, Yao looked lost when he was on the floor and many times when he received the ball would fumble it and thus be forced to pass it off. it's difficult to make a point of dumpin it ino Yao when it seems Yao himself would have much rather passed it off. If Yao wanted some touches he could have made it known by cutting and moving without the ball and also getting deep post position.

AND... who really knows what his teamates inntentions were

Second fewest minutes? Marbury, Nash, Nowitzki, Payton and Stojakovic all had less minutes than Yao. Yao just didn't do anything.

Give Yao the damn all star ball!!!

It's clear that Rick Adelman is clueless as to how to run an all star offense. Sure, the West won, but it would have been a blowout if he had just got Yao Ming the ball early and often. Adelman needs to be fired and a competent all star coach needs to be brought in

You forgot to add that the West needed Elton Brand and Steve should have played the 2 and not the 1. ;) :p

Yao Ming got an up close and personal look at where he needs to be. That was the most important thing.

Why the hell did Dirk not play more. Shawn Marion?? Dirk is better than him.
And as for Yao, he should be glad that he got to start. Obviously Shaq deserved the start. Yao got the start and seemingly had a great weekend. Thats about the best scenario you could ask for.

We all know how Yao is. He knows he's a rookie so he's not gonna try to force anything. He is still in awe of seeing all these great players in one building. Besides, He got to rest and did not risk injuring himself. What I'm mad about is, Coach Thomas didnt even let Ilgauskas try to atleast get 2 points. The guy didnt even get a chance. Rick Adelman should have given Yao some more minutes( maybe 5 more freaking minutes ) There was like 2 ot's. In the end, the game was played by a bunch of ball hogs.

    Isiah Thomas sucks ass.
He is a prick. The Jalen Rose situation in Indiana is a perfect example. And as for his coaching abilities. his team is loaded.

    Yep.

"This is my team" when ask why he sat Walker, Pierce, and Ilgauskus out the entire 2nd half.

Everybody looks terrible in their first all star games. Remember Francis shot 1/7 and with 3 points last year? I think Yao was a bit confused. He was trying to play defense in the first quarter, then he realized nobody was playing defense. He passed ball often and didn't bother to post up. KG/Shaq was posting all the time. Yao could have been more aggressive. But he obviously chose to defer to the veteran players the highlights.

I though the LOB pass to Shaq was awesome. To bad Shaq didn't finish.

    ROTFLMAO :D

The West needs a true point guard, they should trade Francis for Miller.
