I don't even consider this dude to be on the Rockets.

I have depression, but I don't have the luxury of having millions of dollars and the ability to put the organization that employs me in a headlock.

I'll bet money in the tipjar that he will never play another game in a Rockets uniform.

It's not a loss if you never gained anything in the first place.

I had been thinking that it was just the stereotypical strict father/conservative mindset or unawareness that is accounting for the various statements completely trashing Royce.

Perhaps we have the key to why some of the posters are so puzzlingly unforgiving of a troubled 21 year old guy. Many may have their own problems and or resentments.

Still rooting for the Rockets and our rookie Royce.

Maybe the Lakers will make a desperation move to become relevant again...

Wtf? You accuse posters who are critical of being ignorant and even take the epic leap to your belief that a discussion of grave concerns that he was a wasted pick means you have a strict conservative mindset or are 'unaware'. Thank you for casting aspersions on half the board.

Fact is this 21 year old *is quite troubled and so much so that is requires a room full of psycho analytic scientists to figure out strategies the Rockets must use to simply interact with him. If you can't see that this is a significant negative to the team and will *continue to be even in the best case scenario then I submit you are the individual who is 'unaware'. It is simply stating a fact that using kid gloves with a rookie is negative. So please keep your speculation about the family lives of posters to yourself.

Politics has nothing to do with this. I have sympathy for people with issues like what Royce White has but at the same time the Rockets are a professional basketball team that is paying him a lot of money. The team has made several offers to White to provide reasonable accommodation for his conditions which instead of taking Royce White has not accepted and petulantly gone on Twitter to whine about the situation.

While we should have sympathy for White it is not up to the Rockets to completely conform to what he needs. They should give some accommodation but White needs to try more. If White cannot do that then frankly he should give up playing professional basketball.

Wow, are you really saying that this poster's depression is making them resentful and irrational? You are a POS and also completely missed the point the poster was making. Congrats.

Well you are not a pos just a bit overwrought.

Yes, I was suggesting that perhaps some of the posters might be resentful or irrational due to depression leading to pretty extreme statements and overeaction to Royce and his unproductive tweets and actions.

The way I look at him he is a Draft pick that had a career ending injury during training camp. If he ever comes back as a player great till then out of mind.

RT @LearnDaGame: Stealing didnt stop Royce White from getting drafted high, although it probably should have been a big red flag for @dmorey

We should lock Royce White and Terrence Williams in a room together and maybe one of them will realise they look as childish as the other and walk out that room a man ready to his job.

    Such wasted talent.

Not really. Both their talents are overblown because they make flashy plays. They're both undersized for their position and TWill was never elite at anything.
