I agree. And the long time posters who partake in this annoy me, too. But what annoys me more than this invented "Lin debate," is threads started in the GARM with zero factual relevance backed by one sentence. That is what annoys the **** out of me...and that predates any Lin "debate." Yet, I still offered my basketball take on this. no?
@ heypartner I'll keep my response short as possible. My post wasn't confirming or even responding to the OP. If you're annoyed at the one-sentence OP, I get that. I have the same pet peeve though I've gotten more resigned about it lately. Where my comment was coming from was that I've noted Parson's shot was flat to begin with, then got less so, and then went back to looking flat again after the injury. It was a simple observation about two things coinciding with each other, and not one thing causing the other. Total throwaway comment on my part, frankly. As for being tagged a Lin fan even though my post was not about Lin, that happened very recently. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=7396938#post7396938 It seems that for some posters, everything is a cleverly disguised post about Lin. That suspiciousness makes it really hard to talk about anything. So, basically you were responding to the OP and lumping me in there somewhat, and I'm lumping you with a previous poster who also brought up Lin out in a way that seemed totally inexplicable to me. I think that's all sorted out now.
Ok heypartner/sidestep just stop....no one really cares. There should be some kind of punishment for mentioning Lin in a non-Lin thread because it always seems to take over..... (nothing against you HP, just saying that just that word will cause arguments)
@sidestep I apologize for the misunderstanding. I can see your point of view. Please don't think of me as someone who seeks out the "Lin Debate." I look forward to that coming to an end. @Rockets12 agree. At least we are not ruining a great thread with a thought-provoking OP. lol. And we even discussed Parsons flat shot while we were at it. Hey, it's good we discussed this. I believe it helps to work it out. And what better time to work it out than in a piss-poor thread that know one cares about.
Memo to Chandler Parsons: Drive to the basket more often and you will become a superstar. If he was shooting 5-6 FTs a game (he is averaging 75% on FTs), he would be averaging close to 20 pts a game and be a complete player.
This. And until Parsons fixes his form, he'll continue to be streaky. Not only is his form not exactly textbook, but more importantly it's not consistent. You won't be a consistent shooter if your form isn't consistent. The good news of course is that shooting is very much correctable and that Parsons does a lot of good things even when his shot isn't falling.
