It was reported that the van that Yao Ming took to today's rookie All Star game got a flat tire so Yao got out and flagged down a public bus, got on and found his own way to the game going through the front gate with the fans. (I wonder if he had to show ID at the door?) Can you imagine how freaked out the passengers were that a 7'6" NBA star would get on public transportation and ride with them? "YO! That's YAO!!"
That was a great story...Yao is so used to using his bicycle to get around, that using the bus is no big deal for him. I bet everyone was saying "Yo it's Yao!" Like that Visa commerical.

Steve will be on the same court with him. No matter what we think of Steve, Yao is his teammate and Steve will make them both look good. Unfortunately, Steve didn't have that luxury last year.
