I was thinking and this could be an interestng matchup

    Robinson Cato
    Duncan Taylor/webber/thomas(if mo leaves)
    Elliot Morris
    Anderson Mobley/anderson
    Daniels Francis

    Rose,jackson langhi, collier, norris
    etc

if webber comes i give the edge to the rockets, but if he doesnt and we lose mo theen i give it to the spurs

In a "couple of years", Robinson will probably not even be in the league.

    ------------------
Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

Do you guys really think we'll manage to get Morris?

My guess is that the only way feasible is if we trade off our 4 or 5 draft picks for a high one.. it'd have to be top 5 to even have a chance at Morris. My guess is he's going at No.3.

Forget the fact that Robonson won't be there, Elliott definately won't be there, and I doubt Avery will be.....If any of them ARE there, they'll be highly ineffective....

I think Robinson may surprise some people by playing at a relatively high level until he is 40. The dude is in great shape, and he has his health.

Wussy Robinson has had some of the worst back problems imaginable. I dont think his back is going to let him play for more than 2-3 years at the most. Also Duncan only signed for three years. So u never know where he might end up going. Of course the same could be said about Steve, but........

    Wow, we're getting Webber, eh?

Who says WE expect 15-8 from Olajuwon. I sure as rain don't.

As far as Morris goes, we have to hope he has a semi-off year (like this past year). If he can drop to around 8, with the Rockets plethora of picks/future picks/cheap, young bait for trade (Kenny Thomas), I think we could snag him. I personally don't expect our own pick to be any worse (towards the end) than 16. You can bet Stevie will have Morris hoping to put on Rockets jammies. You can also bet, barring Langhi suddenly becoming instantly as good as Dirk Nowitzki (and even if he does), that the Rockets brass will want 2 things going into the draft:
1: A defensive wizard with fair height at the SF
2: A banging big man rebounder/defender off the bench.

#2 often is a matter of luck, that you can pull out of relative obscurity (late first round, 2nd round, free agent rookies a la Brad Miller). Which means, assuming Morris is available at any price which wouldn't touch the core, he's got a good chance of becoming a Rocket. We just need to hope he's not in Eddy Curry like status, and the underclassmen come out.

I wouldnt call him wussie robinson hes on of the best centers ever. Dreams way better, but d-rob is still pretty good. and if they dont get elliot that clears up some room, if they could sign a bryon russel type player that would be perfect. and NIKE i didnt say we were getting webber which is why i showed mo and kenny as well, please read the whole post not just the part you would like to critique. and many people expect 15 and 8 from dream. ive seen at least 7 posts that said they expect it, i dont have the time (or patience [IMG]) to look for them but i know ive seen them. i dont expect those kind of numbers from him but robinson can still be a contributor. and as for morris you can expect to get him. eithe hooppstv or nbatalk had a mockj draft and placed him at #13, with our 4 picks, money, and guys who are tradable im sure we can find a way to get a #13 pick
