Can we really say Lin is soft? The guy loves to take it inside the paint amongst defenders, I don't think he's scared of contact at all. When I think of soft, Chris Bosh is one of the first names that pop up.
Bargnani is definitely the softest, and maybe laziest player in the league. I know that '06 draft was terrible, but my god. What a terrible choice for #1 Overall!
Rubio got included basically because of his looks, i suppose. "might be the softest player in the NBA"... He doesn't play soft. I don't like the list, a ton of stereotyping going on. Glaring omissions, dumb inclusions. The writer should be banned from writing about basketball.
Pretty sad too. Is really talented and tall...too bad, can't blame the Raptors for taking him #1 at all. Some players just don't want it though.
It's a shame too. At the very least, he could have been a perennial all-star. Best case? He could have been the biggest nightmare for opposing teams. He'd be like a 7 foot tall Lebron (minus the playmaking). Instead, he put up decent points on ****ty teams, avoided rebounds, didn't play defense, and is now stinking up the joint.
People outside of Clutch stopped labeling Pau as soft after he owned Howard and Garnett in the Finals.
A list like this is silly. For one thing, people use the term "soft" to stand in for a number of things, such as: -shies away from contact -does not rebound enough for their size -injury prone -mentally weak/not clutch All of those things are very different, and this list seems to lump all of them together. On top of that, the first criticism given to Lin is that he can't shoot, which is fair enough. But how is not being able to shoot a sign of being soft? Many of the guys in the NBA who can't shoot are considered enforcers or physical hustle players, so they would hardly fit this definition of "soft".
You truly should have a better understanding of the NBA. Did you watch the finals against the Celtics and Magic. Thought not. Pau ruled.
Against an injured or missing Garnett. Did you miss the first Finals when he met a healthy Garnett? Or the playoffs last 2 seasons where he has melted like butter? Pau Gasol is soft. To argue otherwise is futile.
Hey. The whole Laker team was off in 2008. Pau did OK. Garnett shot only .429 from the field. And I have been in this discussion many times before. Pau is a center, and Bynum's appearance took away much of his low post game. I think outside of the fiction propagated by Clutchfans, it is pretty much accepted that Bynum (and now Howard) take away Pau's strongest suite - the low post. Two rings Z. Two rings.
2Pat is the softest Rocket right now. All that damn weight training and always rolling up his sleeves just to play soft lol.
