i think donny is focusing too much on throws on the run. Ive noticed griffin's release on the deep ball from the pocket to be so fast you barely see it. I noticed it since baylor.
Donny, I don't get what you are looking at because RG3's release is insanely fast. Brings the ball up and fires in almost no time at all.
Another injury for RG3, on a scramble play, predictably enough. This is going to be the story of his career unless he changes the way he plays. And that's a tall order--it's so hard to convince a guy not to try his hardest every play, to put aside one of his tools because it's too risky. If he can be convinced to stop running the ball more than once or twice a game in the regular season, he can have a great career. If he keeps scrambling so often then he will keep getting injured and will struggle to ever play a full season, and the injuries will eventually add up to chronic problems affecting his play when he IS on the field. It is so important in judging a QB in this league to look at this kind of thing. It's a huge component of value.
Another strong game for Wilson too. I know he'd get 3rd overall, but he shouldn't be ignored in this conversation.
agree with this He'll become easier to defend if he decreases his running, though, as the defense doesn't have to account for it as much, which helps RGIII today.
Check strength of schedule: http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/playoffs/sort/conferenceRank/order/false .527 vs .418 Luck has had the 2nd easiest schedule and WAY below the league avg. Luck has a fantastic WR in Reggie Wayne. Griffin's best is Garcon (who is imo a #2 WR on his best day). Even with those 2 points had Garcon not gotten hurt (which was when their 3 game losing streak happened), Redskins might have a better record than Colts. RG3 hands down has been the best rookie QB this year, hell he might be the MVP this year. Record doesn't tell you everything, just like how a pitcher's W/L doesn't tell the whole story. I'll go ahead and leave this hear too: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-dr...in-iii-is-leading-andrew-luck-in-the-race-for
Which stat exactly is convincing you Luck has been better than RG3 outside of W/L? http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/14875/robert-griffin-iii http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/14874/andrew-luck He isn't winning at a single stat. Oh wait you are racist, the stat that Luck is white is convincing you.
lol you just went off the deep end. I've said before that I like RGIII. He's going to get hurt in this league though (already has), and I'd take Luck.
RG3 is clearly better this season and should be the ROY, but I think Luck has more potential and could win end up having a better career. RG3 is more skeptical in the long-run due to his style of play, but as of right now he is better.
Andrew Luck is starting to remind me of Tim Tebow...( not talent wise).. but for getting WAY too much credit for his team success
i guess i should eat some crow on griffin. Im not trying to change what i said its just when hear people say running qbs should dial down their rushing i always think drew bledsoe. Didnt that guy get sacked a lot. He was just incredibly sturdy. I guess griffin should run less but guys like newton and tebow are like trucks.
I kind of get the Tebow comparison. He is not comparing their skill-set nor their abilities, but he is comparing to how he is getting the same undeserved praise. If you look at Luck's stats, they are not anything special and his TD/INT ratio is not very good. You kind of wonder how much Luck is part of the Colts success.
I believe I saw today that Luck have the most hurries and tied for most for QB knocked down, his line is atrocious, and he doesn't have much run support either. He is throw this much and running for his life most of the time because all Colts can do at this point. You take Luck out and Colt is right back to 2-11. I watched everyone of their games.
