Guys, this is the best Columbia House deal ever.

5 dvds for 24.95, free shipping and NO further dvds to buy.

You can sign up on the phone or at www.columbiahouse.com with this "CYCD" code.

For list of enrollment DVD's available go here. Scroll down. Most of these aren't available on the website, I had to order them over the phone.

Phone # 888-242-3837 use the same "CYCD" code and order with your credit card. It is very easy, I have placed multiple orders and had one ship already (with different cc#, names, phone, emails).

    Enjoy :)

Forgive me for my ignorance about how Columbia House works, but after is this offer just a Club Join offer?

After I order my 7 dvd's, can I get any more similar deals?

Or must I create another account with different card/name/etc to get the same deal?

No prob BGM, click this link, it has a FAQ on Columbia. The norm is usually 2 accounts per name/cc#, so you don't have to cancel your current account. I have 3 orders for this, all with diff cc#, name, telephone, email, but the same address. All three have billed me already (a good sign) and one has notified me of shipping already. I just ordered last weekend. :)

This deal sounds great! Only catch is the stupid "monthly magazine" that requires you to send through the mail a card that says you don't want the "DVD of the month". If you don't do that, they automatically send it to you and charge your credit card. Sadly, I don't have the discipline to remember to mail that card in every month, plus I don't have the stamps.

    I will begrudgingly pass. :(

drapg - after you get your dvds, close your account! That's it.

Also, if you write "return to sender" on the dvd, don't open it, and just stick it back in the mail then they stop sending them. That's what they do with mine, plus you can decline your "director's choice" on their website, don't have to send in the card.

    Get some cheap dvds! :p

I'm too scared. Columbia House is the devil. I remember the hell my sister went through in the early 90's sending back CD after CD of complete trash...... 12cds for a penny sounds great, and then you get a copy of Hootie and the Blowfish "Fairweather Johnson" and the mood turns dramatically....... This is back before we had the internet....has it really changed that much?

Well I am pretty happy with it so far, it averages to 5$ per DVD for some awesome movies. I have had numerous accounts and haven't had any big problems.

It's cause your sister didn't do it right. I've been doing clubs for over 10 years now, and I've saved so much money, it's not even funny.

For example. I just redid the CD club with Columbia House. I got 15 cds for a grand shipping and handling total of $38...about $2.50 a cd. Now, I have to buy 4 in the next 2 years. If you're dumb, you buy them whenever, but if you want to make it worth your money, you wait until they offer a "Buy 1, get 2 free" special, which they do about once every three months or so. When I do that, I normally get 3 cds for $24 dollars, $8 a cd. So, after all this is said and done, I'll get 27 cds for $134, about $5 a cd. All you have to do is be patient and remember to return the card every month. Or, like Sonny says, you can return the cds for free.

    It's simple.

You put the code in the "savings code" box right, and it popped up a window telling you the deal?

I don't know if this still works but it did when I was in college:
I signed up for BMG with their "nothing more to buy ever" deal (8 cds for the price of 1). Then I quit. Then they would write to me and offer me 8 more cds if I came back. So I did, then quit again. At the time they had just started offering to send the cd of the month ONLY if you told them to.
I dropped BMG because I ran out of CDs I wanted but it looks like a great club if you like pop.

Man, that's strange. You picked 5 movies, checked out, filled in all your info and it didn't ask for a cc# ?

Did you get any emails yet?

Weird. I think I might try the code one more time, I will let you know if they don't ask for my CC#.

    Maybe they are billing you?

Might be. I just find it odd that I didn't get a choice of CC/COD/bill in mail. Never seen that before.
