Correct me if I'm wrong on these three questions: Doesn't the all-star coach select the reserves? Isn't the West all-star coach Don Nelson? Shouldn't Cuban shut up with his stupid billboards that say "Where's Fin" when his own coach didn't select him? Thanks.
I believe the coach does select the reserves however Rick Aldemen is the West Coach that is probaly how Peja made it over finley. http://www.nba.com/allstar2003/adelman_030122.html
Also the coaches vote on the reserves: "The 29 head coaches will vote for the remaining members of the All-Star teams in their respective conferences, and their selections will be announced on Tuesday. Coaches must vote for seven players in order of preference but are not allowed to vote for players from their team. The selections must include two guards, two forwards and a center. Two other players are chosen regardless of position. Also, if any player cannot participate in the All-Star Game, NBA Commissioner David Stern will select a replacement after the coaches select reserves. Stern said last year that Stojakovic was his favorite player to watch; that's why Finley ain't on there.
All the coaches vote on the reserves. The coach with the best record in the conference is the All-Star coach, but you can't have the same coach two years in a row, so Rick Aldemen is the western coach since he has the second best record. Yes, Cuban should shut up.
Hey, I got one right!!! red, see why I don't venture out all that often...hell, it's not like I'm right over there that much either!
