Arguing on a basketball message board isn't going to change the world. I've said enough about this topic. Let's leave it at that.

I had a few paragraphs typed. I erased them. You did fine by yourself.

I'm trying to learn that sometimes, no comment is necessary.

    That's idiotic.

    R. Kelly and M. Jackson are international celebrities - of course theyre going to make more headlines.

Have you ever heard of director Roman Polansky? The press and authorities have been hounding him for years. He slept with a 13 year old girl and is living in France to escape authorities.

    That's still making news.

Celebrities who cause scandals will always get more press coverage than no name people who became celebrities because of their scandals, especially when the scandal involves a group of people and not just single individuals.

WTF is wrong with you guys??? This montelwilliams guy just played you all like a bunch of drums. You can't respond so vehemently to every little piece of bull**** that someone posts. C'mon, this guy wasn't even trying. He's probably still sitting back laughing at you all. cc.netters, we can do better than this.

btw, as a black man I feel that R Kelly is a sick b*stard, Michael Jackson is a crazy b*stard, and Catholic priests....well, they just scare the sh*t out of me.

The interview was one of the weirdest things I have seen in a long time. Michael truely is a child in a mans body and I got the feeling that he actually believed some of the fibs he was telling. I shouldnt call them fibs without any evidence although I have to believe he`s had more then 2 plastic surgeries on his face. It`s hard to imagine what the guy went through as a little boy with all the pressure from his family and such although I think he needs some serious psychiatric help.

Thats pretty much what i came away from the interview thinking..

He is still mentally a child, he spends alot of time with children because those are the only ones he can relate to.
That being said, I do believe that sleeping in a bed with children(especially one's not his own) is flatout wrong. He has more money than god, why not have a big room with multiple beds if he feels the need to "have a sleepover"..

They had a plastic surgeon commenting on his facial structure over the years, and she said there was no way he only had 2 operations...he is flatout lying.
One of the other things that was disturbing about that interview..he walks into a store and spends 6M on baubles???? OMG!...what a colossal waste of money..

Thanks AstroRocket for a sense of perspective on the argument above, and thanks everyone else for getting back to the topic. :)

Only two plastic surgeries - yeah, right. Check out this link:

    http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Jackson.html

the above is a history of his face, complete with pictures. Doctors will tell you that you can only perform so much plastic surgery on one person before permanent damage results.

In other words, this guy is full of ****. And, since he's lying about that, no telling what else he's lying about. That's why, as much as I'd like to believe the sleepovers are innocent, I'd bet against it. :(

I saw part of that show last night and it was damn disturbing. He's got so much money that it seems no one can touch him. He should be in a hospital getting help.

montellwilliams, who knows who a Catholic Priest is even if you put all of their names on the news every night? Yeah, my Parrish priest is as popular as R Kelly and Michael Jackson. Father John at X parrish isn't the story, the story is a bunch of father Johns at a bunch of parrishs. People know who Cardinal Bernard Law is because he had to resign for covering up the scandal in Boston. People know who the pope is. Nobody know some priest at a parrish of 200 people, its the collective group.

He says he's worth over $1 billion. If so, than the $6 million spree ("I want this.... psst, excuse me, did we get this?") makes sense.

But if he is "only" worth the $200-300 million that ABC estimates, how the hell could he afford to spend that much money in one afternoon?

Plus, you gotta wonder how much it costs just to maintian Neverland. I mean the zoo, carnival, etc. Think about the massive crew that must tend to the entire 3000 acre estate on a daily basis!

I came away thinking he doesn't do anything wrong with the kids, even though I think sleeping with them is wrong. He doesn't seem like a sexual being whatsoever. It's like his childhood was so warped that he's trying to turn himself into a child again, via face surgeries, surrounding himself in a childhood dream (living with a zoo and carnival), and basically BEING Peter Pan! I came away more sad than disturbed.

I thought that the interviewer was passing too much judgement. But Jackson should have expected that from the media.

I recall that the amount they showed was closer to 360M?
or was it 460M? Doesnt matter...

Just the rolyalties alone on his past record catalogue probably brings in a ton of money each year. Plus the merchandising...
I heard a bit somewhere (dont remember where) that said after the initial interview was aired overseas, the local record stores sold out of all MJ albums in a couple of days...

There is no such thing as *bad* publicity I guess....

I think that MJ has lived in a fantasy world surrounded by people who work for him and say yes all the time that he has lost his sense of self.

The man is a loon, he has no concept of the real world.

I guarantee that bottle he fed that baby was the ONLY time he does that...he does whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and avoids responsibilty at all costs.

He is on one long death spiral.

Even if his new music is no longer bringing him any income in the U.S., he has lots of support overseas; besides, his old stuff is still classic and he can live very well off that. Still, the way he spends it, I wonder if he consented to this interview because he needed the money. Since normally he doesn't do things like this.

No question he's trying to live in a state of eternal childhood; the problem is that he's still in a grown man's body. So he might just be a sexual being. He's not a eunuch. If indeed he had any part in the conception of his children... well, it had to come from somewhere. If you know what I mean.

I hope he's not doing anything with those kids... but there are reasons we don't normally let grown men sleep with boys. (also, note that he hardly ever has girls over - why is that?)

I found him to be somewhat judgemental, but I didn't expect anything less from a journalist. He was obviously using his exclusive Jackson interview as a tool to further his career. Had he been fair and nice, it would not have been as memorable.

While I dislike his use of voice-overs to judge Jackson, it was the norm for the media.
