Well Yao shows quite a variety of moves. But even if he does the same moves, the thing is he isn't afraid of a bit of contact. He will push and shove and will go to the basket knowing he will get hit. Mo Taylor seems to plan his moves ahead to get the least amount of contact. Heck, even Stevie will charge to the basket HOPING to get hit so he gets the foul. Steve's does that pull- up outside shot a lot, and it's kind of lame sometimes, but the thing is he is an actual THREAT to go inside. Mo Taylor almost never goes strong! Why on earth does he dribble when he knows darn well that he is going to shoot from the outside! Why make contact against your opponent if you aren't even going to bother to use the extra space created! It's pointless, but he thinks other teams don't realize that he is going to "settle" for an outside shot so he acts like he's going to go inside. The thing is, yes a lot of players have their one move, but they also go through the hard and painful work of setting up that move. Hakeem often drew fouls to set up his turnaround. Steve will get nailed under the basket to set up his pullup jumper.
Lol...okay man. We're even. I guess you're right. BUT MAN...LOOK AT EDDIE? He doesn't have any moves at all. Just the turnaround jumper and JACKING UP of treys.
Yeah Eddie doesn't make me happy either. I don't know why watching Mo gets me so mad. I need to chill out LOL.
All outside??? What Mo T have you been watching lately? I watched him take Garnet to hole on several occasions. And last night, a bunch of his points came in the paint. Just because he has the ability to hit an outside shot doesnt make him a Eddie Griffin (stand out there till one falls). Lately when he gets time he gets his points, and D's well enough. If you noticed at all, he rarely goes for the pump fake and almost always on an opposing player J just gets right in their face hands up. Rarely can you block a J. But oftenly you'll get called for a foul if your jumping for a block. Watch him next game and you'll see what I mean. Also he passes pretty damn well for a 4 when he does pass. And lately he's been getting some blocks on rotations. The only part of his game that needs work is Rebounding. But as long as we are going to have guards that crash the lane and get 6 or so a game, and a 7'5" guy, and reserve who is getting 7 or so a game, Im not too worried about his rebounding.
