I saw it today. Don't be mad at me. Actually, I went in expecting about what I got...which wasn't much. But it wasn't horrible. Then again, a lot of the "training" and other scenes made me cringe. And the ending was....not really an ending. But...they didn't follow EXACTLY the story of the original. Only about 80% of it. The rest was ok. Lots of good shootemup action scenes. Worth about a 5.
'Merica, ***** yeah! As an Asian, I find this both hilarious and pretty sad at the same time, and kind of want to see the movie now.
I just facepalmed. For goodness sake, we can never go wrong underestimating the intelligence of teenagers.
Was sitting in class just short of a week ago and overheard some kid next to me talking about how he's going to kill Koreans after watching Red Dawn.
i had a friend say that she hated "japs" after watching pearl harbor. Apparently she didnt know they were involved.
Agreed. What the hell are we teaching [or not teaching] these people these days Rocket River We have to do better America
If Chris Hemsworth is starring in this movie then I'm good. Pretty amazing to see things like this. Ignorance at its best.
It sucks! Don't waste your money. Better spent on renting the original again (although it may only be on Betamax)
question...are they still using the term "wolverines" in this one? or, what is their school mascot in this one?
I remember my 8th grade history teacher (late 60's white lady) saying that after watching roots, she felt like she wanted to kill some "white folks". My buddy and I turned and looked at each other with our eyes wide open...then burst out laughing. Classic.
You....saw it? Sometimes the trailer is enough to tell you. Plus, this movie got delayed to the cinema for awhile. They kept pushing back the release date. Not a good sign. I didn't love the original, but I did like the premise: how would the U.S. react to being invaded? Tough, though, to come up with a plausible modern invasion scenario. You'd have to go the cyberterrorism route first, then EMP's. I guess.
Juts saw the original... what a great premise for a movie and some really good scenery, but OMG, is C. Thomas Howell the worst actor of all time? Things are really bad when Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze performances seem Oscar worthy compared to what Howell put up there.
