Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Just doing our best to keep the deficit down. What cliff? We were thrown over it years ago. +20% employment tax; + 8% sales tax; 14% alcohol tax; utility taxes; etc. etc. Thanks, Jake's Management.
keep up the good work, I've been there 3 times so far (Hawks/Grizzlies/OKC) and enjoyed it every time
I also loved that you guys had Shiner Cheer on draft. Adding some local craft selections is a must now-a-days, not sure about the logistics of getting them on draft, but I'd be much more inclined to visit an establishment that carried such selections for the sophisticated beer lover and not just the Miller Lite guzzlers.
Yummm, had Shiner Cheer for the first time ever this past weekend. That's some good stuff. We'll probably be stopping by for the Mavs game this weekend.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Our beer guy tries to keep up with the times. Currently we have 18 beers on tap and we just added your Shiner Cheer, plus Sam Adams Winter Lager (free glass tonight), plus Buffalo Bayou Holiday Seasonal. We have piles and piles of bottled and canned and we just added Saint Arnold's Christmas and the Dominican Presidente. We just finished installing a state of the art CO2 system and refurbished our coolers to serve draft at +/- 36 degrees. For the deep pockets, we also have Bishop's Barrel for $ 10.00. Thanks, Jake's Management.
Now you have piqued my interest. Only 500 cases were released in the Houston area. I don't have deep pockets, but I do carry a thirst for high quality beer. Might have to drop by again when Santa brings me a Christmas Hamilton.
As I understand it, the Bishops Barrel was a special brew, aged in wooden barrel, and +300 cases were released. We got 1 case, the bottle's are collecter's items and we have a few left. Thanks, Jake's Management
I have season tickets, and I have comcast at home, so I really haven't had a chance to go there yet, but everyone I know here has gone already.
I had season tickets and Comcast, but switched to Uverse and threw my season tickets in the garbage just to force myself to watch every game at Jake's. Thanks, The Customer
Comcast at home, Half season tix. no time to go to Jake's yet. I am feening for some mad cheesed steaks though!!!! LCA
I cant believe I gave sound business advice to this dude and he didnt even bother repping in return. Or mention it. Mr. Management, if you want to stay open for 19 hrs a day 7 days a week be my guest...its not my business thatll close, as mine is still doing well. And let me tell you one thing pal, you mention MAMAS CAFE at least 1 time a day so you want to replicate their late night success? Okay fine but you know what...youre NOT MAMAS CAFE. Jakes Philly Cheese Steaks is not the place people think of when you want a late night bite, and you WONT change that. Wanna change preconceived notions of your business? Rebrand. Get a new name. Start fresh. Then you can piddle about all you want because people dont already think whatever they do about your business. BTW I am posting this from inside Jakes. Youll never know who I am.
2944 Chimney Rock, just south of Westheimer. Looks like the other location on FM1960 has closed. Please correct me if I am wrong......
YDS...providing unsolicited, aggressive business advice and speaking on behalf of an entire city based solely on his own feelings/tastes since 2012.
I want a Philly Cheesesteak and a Shiner Cheer now.....may have to swing by this place next time I'm in town.
He's going to ruin it for the rest of us. I'd start asking Clutchfans to prove who they are before giving them specials based off this ass.
