You must have been reading my mind. This is where any other pg in the entire league would have rewarded the hustle with a finish, instead he did that crazy shot, which he hit.The easier play was give to posey for a dunk. Ming passed the ball to him even though he messed off a asst. His insticts are terrible. A pg should never have to get himself going so early in a ballgame. A pg who handles the ball as much as he does will have a million chances to score. Looking at the game, Right out the box the Cavs established Big Z. He scored on Ming and got the attention of the defense. What did the Rockets do with our big man? He had all of 3 shots in the whole 1st half. Just plain stupid.

nah, moochie doesn't count cuz he's a backup.

    verse,
jwill thinks he's allen iverson, which he's not because AI is the quickest player in the nba maybe ever.

Hands down the worst I have seen. And he is a selfish b*stard, too.

There are major problems on this team. James Posey is very frustrated. Unlike Tmo who is just happy to be there, James has been reduced to a part-time player at best and that is directly related to Steve's inability and selfishness. On the break he holds the ball to bring it up and I do not know why. He is leading the league in TO's or near to it. I would not mind if he was running all the time but he walks up the ball the most for any pg in this league. I just cannot remember seeing Kidd, Marlbury, Tinsley or Parker so consistently bring up the ball. And we are one of the best rebounding team and no fast breaks to show for it; especially when Cat and Posey is on the team.

Rudy is dying and he refuses to set Steve straight. He better before it is too late.

As for Mr Ming, he has a bad habit of taking nights off. Over the past two games he looked like he was with a girl an hour before the games. No legs, no nothing. All gone.

    Based on what?

I really have no tolerance when people make these blanket statements.

wow.. you guys are still talking about this?

I dont understand what the argument is. Are you guys still actually suprised that Francis makes stupid plays and doesnt pass well? I would think after 3 years or so, you guys would get it by now. He is not a true PG! He doesnt have those skills to become one nor does he want to (given his statement when he was on Vancouver).

I have long stopped criticizing Stevie. He is an extremely skilled athlete but lets face it, he is no PG. If there is anyone to blame at this point, it is management and coaching for continously putting up with this mayhem. They had 2 choices. Get a real PG and move Steve to a SG or put up with the TOs and bad decisions. Simple as that. They obvious chose the latter.

    That is an oxymoron.

I have to say I havent see any true point guard who pass the ball like this before. I meant 12 sec is alot. /sigh. I hope he will learn it next time. For Yao, I think he is tired but if my team mates do not pass the all to me and expect me to score point at all then why waste my enery, right?

    PASS 1st, SHOOT 2nd...

    psst...heypee:

trading cat does nothing. you're right. that's just swapping role players. i thik you're right, btw, about it having to be this summer. too many good players available, and we only have 3-4 years to build a yao-centered team that challenges for the championship. 3 years from now, we can't be talking about "getting into the playoffs"...les, china, the nba, china, yao...none of them will put up with anything less...

SF is the worst player I have ever seen on the fast break.

He passes up the easy bucket for hard shots each and every time.

    At least he is consistent.

Does Francis ever pass the ball on the fast break? On the fast break, you are supposed to keep the ball moving. Not with Francis or Mobley. Once they get the ball, they take it to the basket no matter what. They usually get a foul call since in the NBA, it is always a foul if you don't score on the fast break. But shooting free throws is a lot lower percentage than passing the ball and getting a dunk.

I think James Posey is frustrated too. The only time he can get a shot is if he ballhogs or takes an ill-advised shot, and that's not his game. Everyone complains about the guards not getting Yao his shots. Well they don't get ANYBODY their shots. Unless you can alley- oop or have Rudy call a play for you in the post, you can pretty much forget about getting an open shot created for you. The guards think the point of passing off is so that they can get the ball back and re-run the iso. The concept of drawing defenders to get good shots for teammates eludes them.

Has anyone asked Rudy about the fastbreak? Maybe Steve doesn't know that he's a stupid point guard because his coach coaches him stupidly.

Steve is here to stay guys. Cuttino's salary... is hard to exchange (unless you get a firesale pf... but short of the fact that the Clippers do actually exist... lets argue towards the norm).

    For those keeping score:
*These guys are dumber than dirt... but their hearts are in the right places.

*Their coach is going to get the serious ****ing axe this summer.

Hey Smeg, don't forget... in Cuttino's words: if somebody other than Francis was running the break... it'd be over.

I like this idea! He sometimes brings the ball up the court, and from what I've seen good things usually happen. He's very patient and sees the whole floor (or at least TRIES to).

    Hmm.......he's not the worst.

Maybe because you all don't watch other teams play.

But Francis has been better...at least he stops and takes jumpers instead of always trying to go in. He can run a fast break..but using his athleticism. He doesn't think very much.

Posey is a little better...but he goes a little too fast for everybody. He's good though...

We should experiment with everything. Cuz we need a solution.
