Been waiting for this guy to step up. I love Walter but this is that second receiver the texans need. I know the offense has been great and I have no complaints but he can really help them take this to the next level. i've been hoping so since preseason last year. I just think he's that type of talent, another diamond in the ruff found by the personell staff

I think they are just prepping him to replace Andre. Not Walter. He seems to run a lot of the same routes as Andre.

You won;t see a heavy dose of Jean until Andre's career winds down.

Yea, he was playing well right before it. I think he's only been back for 2, maybe 3, games. Since 2 of those were within a week, it was probably wise not to push him a lot right away. Plus, Dre has been on a tear during that time.

I have really thought he was the "best of the bunch" (young receivers) all along.

His build type is similar to AJ's. The TD play yesterday, for a second, I thought it was AJ who caught that and went all the way for the TD.

He's probably not as fast as Keyshawn but he's definitely got the best hands of the group, maybe even the best on the team.

I like both Jean and Martin.

    Where's Posey?

I don't think he has similar strength, but he definitely moves like him. It took me a while to stop mixing up the two.

He was next in line yesterday to play corner back if Carmichael or Harris went out. That would of been interesting to watch.

Basically, Jean has been healthy for a couple of weeks but the coaches or Schaub don't have a lot of trust to actually throw him the ball. You will see him on the field from time to time but usually it means it is a running play or they are going to dump it off to someone running a route in the middle of the field.

Playing special teams mostly, he and Jean sometimes get out on the field on some snaps but they are never actually thrown at. Part of me thinks they might not be good route runners but given how often they pass to Martin not just running routes but going deep, I am thinking they just don't trust Jean and Posey that much yet. Martin maybe more polished our just a a better slot receiver.

Hopefully, once they start to rest starters at the end of the season that will change.

Posey is a project, he is not ready yet, even after the draft the texans said that Martin is more polished to play right now, but with a few seasons, Posey will be a lot better, maybe its like Kareem Jackson, he wasnt ready for NFL games in his first 2 seasons, but in the 3rd he is exploding, and showing his talent.

Lestar Jean only's been targeted 5 times this whole season

Still 4 catches, 120 yards and TD out of it, 4 1st downs out of it. (Already 33% more yards than Keyshawn Martin all season, in half the games )

He's said himself his main attribute is the go route making plays downfield, so he does need to be a more all-around route runner for the intermediate stuff too (where Keyshawn Martin is probably the more immediate plug-in guy for that) but it does seem he makes good things happen when he gets chances.
