    I'm going to Houston on Dec 11. I was wondering what aside from catching the two Rockets game that week, what else can I do in Houston? Should I rent a car or can I just navigate via bus or what have you?

    Where are you staying? You'll most likely need a car. Most things to do in Houston tend to be kind of spread out and the bus system here only exists to a certain extent.

    Kam will show you what high schools and middle schools are good to "look at." :p

    mazyar will take you to the underground action in mid town, but be careful. CHECK TWICE! :eek:

    ima_drummer2k will show you the best places to see a show with Rush cover bands. :cool:

    On a serious note, you will need a car unless you are staying really close or in downtown. If you are downtown and want to go elsewhere, you will need a car.

    Alright, I'll grab a car. Actually it's all being done kind of lackadaisical. I don't even have a place to stay yet, I figure in December I should be able to get a room via Priceline.com. I'll do more research this coming week, but for the most part I just decided to do this today.

    Ok, so I'm looking to buy tickets for the upcoming games. Is it better to buy Tickets at the Arena or would they end up getting sold out? I don't have a fortune but would like to be on the sides facing our team, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It's best to walk around the streets by UH at night. It will give you the full H-town experience.

    If you hang out with the Mexican dudes under the overpasses around 59 and Chimney Rock a guy will usually show up and give you a ride in the back of his truck.

    For cheap and nice stay at Club Quarters Downtown.. Less than a hundred a night typically.
