I find I rarely do. I generally go by my incoming call list, etc
I may check it once a Week. Just to clear it . . . .IT is always better to text me.

Whenever I'm tired of seeing the notification on my phone. Checking voicemail is annoying. It takes 20-30 seconds to connect and get through the "You have # messages. First message", then you have to hear the call. You can read a text in 5 seconds. I'd rather just have a text as well.

Cell phone: as soon as I see the notification. I hate having un-read notifications on my phone.

Landline: I'm 12 and what is this?

With Google Voice, I'll at least check out the transcription (sent via text/email) of any voicemails I have, and if they seem relevant, I'll check them. Don't really get many though.

i mean voicemail is pointless these days. the ones that leave you voicemail just tell you to call back. what did you think i was going to do after a missed call?

I agree. I always hated my answering machine and later voice mail. Text is so much better. I don't like email either. Which is why I did Facebook for the messaging that rules out spam

    Voicemail is good for:

    Out of service areas
    When phone is off
When you want to avoid someone

Leave voicemail in the 90s where it belongs. Absolutely zero reason to use it. Hang up and shot a text/email.

If someone calls me and doesn't leave a voicemail, I figure it wasn't important and won't call them back.

And, when I leave someone a voicemail, I tell them why I was calling. I usually forget why I called after I hang up, so if they don't listen to the voicemail, no one will know what we're supposed to be talking about.

Never. If I see a missed call, and want to call you back I will, if not then I wont.

How should my doctor tell me to call them back or leave an appointment reminder? How should a school tell a student's parents about some incident or upcoming event? How should my mother, who knows nothing about texting, let me know why she is calling and that I need to call her back? How should the repair shop let me know my car is ready.

Couldn't vote. Never. No one important leaves voicemails. If its an emergency they just text.

Still no need to listen to the voicemail. If u see the missed call, and u know its obviously important, call them back.

I guess its just a personal preference. I don't even talk on the phone that much. I talk a lot in person, maybe that's why.
