I don't know what you are talking about. Almost everyone in Houston can watch the Rockets on TV if they want to. You have to have Comcast, but the option is there. To say no one can watch Rockets games on TV is just false.

Yep, in Houston it always comes down to one thing. Winning.

For those that say the Texans, well they were still new...people were still excited about the team...then Kubiak came and turned them at least into a team that would tease you into making the playoffs the next year...then into a contender.

At least we are not Miami...

I was there last night as well and it was embarrassing.

There was a suite under me and only 2 people were in it, people are even passing on free food and drinks!

At the Miami game this year was the first time I have ever been to TC and felt like I was cheering for the visitor team.. There were WAY more/louder Heat/LeBron fans.

I think a lot of it has to do with not being able to watch the game on TV. This team is actually a lot more exciting to watch then they get credit for but over half of the city isn't able to see it.

I haven't missed more than 5 games on TV over the past 4 years until this year. I'll continue to support but I can't get into this team like I have in the past, and I can't blame others for doing the same, because it is tough to watch all these games on terrible online feeds.

    Trust me....

About 60-70% of those seats are paid for. Third Party ticketing sites buy tickets and sell them for more....Big Wigs can only sit in the club seats....FlashSeats has a bajillion tickets on sale...Stubhub etc...

These seats are paid for, they're just empty...The support factor is the problem for me. Back when it was a healthy T-Mac and Yao, TC was rockin' almost every night...All we need is a star tandem or a good playoff season and we'll be good to go...

Reasons why i wouldn't pay to watch a game at the Toyta Center: The Rockets' Greed

    -blacking out hometown fans
-the entire length of the court, on both sides, is high-priced corporate box seats that remain half empty at all times
-bad seats don't mean cheap seats at the toyota center
-concessions are still a killer, especially after the over-inflated ticket prices

This is what happens when you have a city that still remembers the championship years and can't handle mediocrity. Plus the Texans are having a great season and the Rockets havent done much to try to draw the fans back.

I bet the only time it will be packed at the TC is during all star week.

Tickets are too much. Towards the end of games, I've noticed that there are more fans in the lower bowl section. I think Les or someone gives the nod to security to let fans move down to make it look like they sold tickets. I don't know but I'm pissed about this too. It annoys me even more at Lakers or Heat games when there are a bunch of fans from the opposing teams.

Hard to beat the conveniences at home when you don't live near TC. I might be getting old, but I also appreciate being able to drink all the craft brew I want without the responsibility of driving home.

that photo is at tip off so its very misleading. im there but usually drinking up top somewhere along with a bunch of other folks. i dont sit down until the third quarter trying to sober down a bit but some others start making it to their seats halfway thru the first quarter. dont worry about people in houston.. lots of people here buy tickets and dont show up or give it to their maids, chauffeurs, or pool boy just so les can pay his people.

Atmosphere has actually been pretty good this year. Best since Yao-za was still on the Rockets.

Tickets are NOT too much money. You can get plenty of tickets under $20 a piece. There aren't very many horrible seats at TC, either. Especially with the new video board.

    I hate that excuse.
