The Rockets have been winning. And even in losses, they have been in every game. If anyone had expected the Rockets to be a playoff team this season then they are clearly delusional and their expectations are completely unrealistic. Celebrate the win man. Even if we get another one tonight, I cannot even fathom what excuses they will be using to bash a Rocket(s). Have a heart tinman. After the transplant you can be linman.
Harden had a quiet night. Same goes for Lin. But he was producing numbers in the assist section of the stat sheet.
If you actually watched the game yesterday Lin... 1. can't dribble 2. panics when double-teamed, normally throwing the ball to the first guy he sees, even if its the opponent 3. picks up his dribble if he's going to the left and somebody cuts him off 4. defers to Harden to bring the ball up the court, mostly because of the reasons stated above 5. can't dribble Stats don't tell the story When Lin dribbles, he practically throws the ball to the floor on every bounce and hardly ever changes the pace of his dribble, a tactic most PGs use to catch their defender off guard <-- see what I did there? Maybe he's just not relaxed out there. I'm sure we'll see him improve as the seasons progresses... I hope
When a player gets double-teamed, passing immediately creates a 4-on-3 advantage elsewhere on the floor making it difficult for the defense to recover because you can't outrun the ball.
true, but not once was he able to dribble away from a double team. He gets trapped easily, quickly picks up his dribble, and has difficulty getting it to a teammate. thats what i meant
devil's advocate? You know (or you should know) what i mean. His dribble isn't smooth. He jams it off the floor. If you don't understand, I don't know what to tell ya.
Yeah, he had some issues with the trap last year too. I think more experience will help him recognize those situations and deal with it better. I think he is better at it this year than last year though.
