And calls out the NBA for partnering with them.

Got the video from Yahoo: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...energy-bracelet-licensing-234512826--nba.html

Here's a quote from the ESPN Dallas website on this:

I say, bravo to Cuban for that. Those bracelets are a fugging joke. In my last year in college, some d-bag went before one of my classes under the pretenses of performing a magic show. He did the Power Bracelet sales pitch and I couldn't contain my disgust. When I asked him exactly what "energy" the bracelet brought in to "balance" and why this momumental scientific breakthrough has not revolutionized the medical industry, he just blew it off. He ended up selling at least 5 bracelets to my classmates. It was a depressing day.

I can't believe people still buy this stuff. I know someone who works at Academy and she says these still sell very well.

I like the "Placebo Bands" that some skeptics put out:

Also has a video and description of how you can create the illusion that these bands make a difference.

It's just basically sports jewelry. Anyone who actually believes it is anything more is probably a character in their own right.

I was thinking this was going to be like a Nike Fuel band for the NBA. Has anyone used the Nike Fuel band? How is that working out for you?

I remember that he ripped some guy on Shark Tank for having a product like this. Very funny to watch

I saw a college football player wearing one of these recently and I instantly thought less of him. I think it may have been Klein for K-State.

If you wear it just as an accessory, then that's one thing.

If you wear it to improve your performance...

OK. I have not tried these bands so I cannot comment either way if they are a scam or not.

Yes I have and from my experience it seems to work.

Of course it's a scam. They even released this statement when they were pressed on the issue in Australia:

This is the exact show they put on in their sales pitch, but without the badass music:

is this product built in with a pyramid sales pitch? are you supposed to seek out gullible fools who wouldn't even question their magical abilities?
