landry is the kinda guy okc really need coming off the bench. His ability to create his own shot on and off the blks would be a huge bonus for a perimter team like okc. I don't know if gsw would give him up,but okc should try to get him.
The Tooth!!! As much as I am fan of his, he has the propensity of doing well in a contract year then becomes oft injured once a longer contract is given.
Yeah, would love him with that unit at the 4. Heck, I'd love him on the starting unit at the 4 and Ibaka at the 5. But OKC is just a smidgen under the salary cap, so any trade would have to involve a lot of pieces to manage the salary or be a blockbuster - and a blockbuster would involve a ton of pieces by default.
Unfortunately, he's the type of guy Morey would never pay really pay. Similar to Aaron Brooks and Chase Budinger. Very good player but not quite really worth beyond rookie contract money. Especially since he came in much older than most rookies, and is already 29 this year. Since Scola, Morey has only tried to pay max-contract guys or players he perceive to be very undervalued. Instead, Morey basically drafted a higher-potential version of Landry in Marcus Morris. Only 22, and making $2mil for the next 3 years.
Landry hasn't been able to saty healthy these last few years. He'll have a great run then at some point he picks up an injury and plays badly for the rest of the season.
