Common, I know some of your wives have taught you a thing or two about household chores.

So went to a school activity tonight. Spilled a little punch on my silver silk tie. Went home and dabbed some water on it. Stain still there, with a dark ring forming after it dried.

So what do I do? I know I could take it to the cleaners, but since it silk, it'll probably cost like 42352345 dollars.

get some of that special detergent that is intended for delicates...and hand wash it.

It should have a tag inside the folded over part that says how to wash it(maybe)..I dont really know if ties do..I dont wear em..

    Come on, that's unfair!

Silk is the ONLY thing out of which ties should be made. I've had polyester ties before, and they just don't compare...

    Hey, what can I say...

You know, FT, you don't seem to have the best of luck with women...maybe a nice change of pace is in order. ;)

(...wow, if anybody thought that blinking smilie was gay before, I think it's now official)

Lot's of stain removal web sites.

There was also a drycleaner in NY that was well known in business circles. Suits would wait until they had a few stained ties, then ship them off to NY. Results were supposedly fantastic.

Sorry, don't know the name, but you may be able to track them down.

The best way to wash silk is this...

Put the item in a hefty bag...tie the bag at the top and make sure all of the air is out...place the bag in a garbage can or bin...go buy a new item
