I don't know if Parsons will be a star, but he's certainly making the whole "passed up Leonard" thing look silly. Yes, I know Leonard is 3 years younger, but Parsons passing ability is something Leonard will never have.

Parsons upside seem to be some sort of super-role player like Odom, or he's a major piece in a trade for our second foundational piece. I really hope it's the former, but wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter.

Kawhi Leonard? We could still have him if we didn't pick Morris.

Doesnt surprise me at all .... I said he could put up 16 & 7 before the season but if his outside shot was much improved he could be an allstar calibur player nearing 20ppg.

People said I was crazy .... Well , he's averaging 15.5 and 7 with a better PER than .... Rudy Gay who's about to show the world he's on Durants level.

(6th highest PER among SF's in the NBA)

Not bad for the 38th pick in the draft ....

nice work man...I like josh smith minus the negatives things you mentioned btw i value more chemistry than individual qualities ..chemistry is a touchy and a bit mysterious thing... i would be very cautious not to spoil it...look for example knicks and lakers they've got all the players that we think we miss but nevertheless they're not up to much years now.......and it's not true only of them...

Why is it so hard for some people to believe he may actually be a solid shooter now. We've just been down this road with Kyle Lowry. Everybody thought he was a career backup, and then he learned how to shoot and became a borderline all-star.

If this shooting sticks Parsons is a total package. Good at times great defensively, solid rebounder for his position, good passer, strong finisher, and a great mentality.

He won't break down many defenses, but he is a very good slasher.

Doesn't have franchise superstar ability, but i could very easily see him being a guy that can compete for all-star appearances, A Shawn Marion type.

The thing that probably gets over looked because of his 31 point game is the fact that his defense was out of this world against Melo, just spectacular. 2Pat started on Melo, Mook and Cook both took shots at guarding Melo but all of them got lit up. When Parsons took his turn late in the 2nd quarter and again in the 2nd half he shut Melo down, frustrating the hell out of him and causing him to turn the ball over. I think the only time Melo scored when Parsons was guarding him was early in the 2nd half when the Knicks ran a couple of off ball screens for him beyond the arc.

The other thing that was eye popping is that this was the 1st game where Parsons just flat out imposed his will on the game as an offensive player. If Chandler does not do what he did in the 1st quarter, there is a very real chance the Rockets would have been down by 10 points or more with the way Carmelo was playing.

Parsons is solid and this team has the potential to be great. I think morris has great potential to be near all star level as well. This team can be very good very soon. I have high expectations for them. We have a lot of skilled players that play very hard. When they figure each other out its going to be magical

Leonard will be a starter for the rest of his career. If you get that as a draft pick, you did well. And Leonard is still playing behind some great veterans so his time to shine will have to wait. But he's playing his role to a T. He has done well to start the season prior to his injury.

And we could have had Leonard AND Parsons.

I don't see how anyone could hate on Parsons. The guy has been pure gold ever since we drafted him.

He surprised everyone by becoming the starter early in his rookie season by playing great defense and hustling. Over the summer he improves his only real weakness, his 3pt shooting and free throw shooting. He seems to be the ultimate team player and is always the first guy to reach out to new players. He looks like a boy but plays like a man and doesn't back down to anyone.

Right now we could probably get a lot in return for Parsons, but unless it includes a proven superstar like a Keven Love I don't see why we would trade him at this point. If he continues to hit his his three point shots, and learns to get to the line more, his upside is scary good.
