All the other rooks' performances last week completely sucked compared to Yao's!

Just curious, does anyone know what ever happen to Jason Williams, the number two pick overall? What is his standing this week.

Jay Will is the reason I hate the so called "experts". Everybody was saying how great the kid was going to be, and also talking about how Yao couldn't adjust to the physical play of the League, well I guess they were wrong on both counts. The fact that they were wrong doesn't bother me, but what irks me is , for example Jim Daniels on Fox Radio was saying that Yao was still never going to be more than a complimentery player, and that JW will be the man in 2 years. This is just an example of how these clowns continue to cover their A$$ even when they are just plain wrong, and Daniels will keep making statements like this until Yao is an MVP candidate and by then nobody will remember what he said.

Sorry for the rant, Congrats Yao!!!!

well neither jay williams or mike dunleavy jr. have had much an impact on the league. i'm starting to wonder if that duke team wasn't just filled with great college players that will never be able to hack it in the NBA.... carlos boozer has had some success but on such an awful team i'm not even sure if it can be considered valid.

still, i hope to see them all have successful careers in the NBA and I really think Jay Williams will turn it around at some point. I just can't believe he's that big of a bust. I've got to believe he can cut it as a decent starter in the league even if not a super star.

I am from Chicago thus I cheer for the Bulls, but I also like the Rockets cause of Ming. You guys are lucky to get the first pick. The lottery could've went Bulls way. Dame it! if Yao was on the bulls team we'll be kicking a$$. Oh well one more round to the lottery.:( Good luck to the Rockets of making it to the playoffs this year. I'll be cheering for the Rockets.

I watched most of the Bulls-Sun game last night. I think that Amare guy had lost his offfense: couldn't get close to the bucket, forced his way and threw up UGLY shots. He is going throw the difficulties Yao faced in the past couple of months. However, I don't think he is going to bounce back soon, considering his skills.
After two three weeks, all these "experts" will be saying "no doubt Yao is the ROY".

Not really. I think Bulls were determined not to draft Yao even they win the lottery. They were after JW all the way. It is a shame to see Bulls going south like this. I don't know why they haven't got a real coach.

I think the Bulls are lucky to be drafting 2nd instead of 1st. If they were 1st and picked JWill 1st overall, imagine how hard they'd be kicking themselves right now.

Btw, where's the footnote on how Amare Stoudemire sucked it up lately. Those experts I tell ya, quoting Walton that he should be an all-star.
