    finalsbound,

    it works out this way:
    Since x >= 0
    then 9x >= 8x
    Conclusion, Hou > Minn ;)

    This game is just as massive for us as for them, maybe even more for them. It should be real tightly contested and might even get a little physical. No one will probably get blown out...

    I have a good feeling about this game.

    Win or no win, I think the Rox are "thinking" the right way...

    They are being practical about it.

    Even if they win, they know they still have work to do.

    Even if they lose, they know they still have work to do (not the end of the world).

    We're still 12 to 18 months away from a truly bad-to-the-bone kix-arse team.

    Yao will be scary next year. And Francis should cut down his turnovers.

    I'm out...

    Did anybody notice that the seventh seed position -- at least temporarily -- goes to the team that wins the game in Minneapolis tonight?

    With a win the Rockets would be percentage points ahead of the T-Wolves. With a loss, the Rockets are two games back of the Wolves and exposed to the Lakers.

    This is a MUST win for the Rocks.

    DavidS,

    Well said. I think this group is finally getting over its (I can't believe they ever had a) superiority complex vs. "teams they know they are better than." The second half debacle against Dallas was the dose of reality/humility we needed.

    If we come out with energy, and with an urgency, we stand a good chance. If we come out "going through the motions," it will be same old same old.

    I have never made any prediction for a game, but let this be a good start!

    Rockets will win by 10+, and breaks 100+ points once again.

    I really hope the rockets realize that the team ball they have played the last couple of games is the key to winning. open 18 footers are a lot easier to make than running, twisting, 18 foot fade-a-ways. i see houston playing well, playing team ball, but coming up a bit short. it'll be one of those "although we came up short, we will take a lot from this game." i will be interested to see how long this "team" game will last once yao misses a couple in a row or has some turnovers. hell, even dream wasn't perfect all of the time, but you still have to dump it into the big fella.

    lastly, did ya'll catch yao's quote on 610 this morning? classic.
    when asked about garnett's abilities on the court and how to stop him, yao responded to the tune of

    "Keving is a great player and can do anything on the basketball court, except referee."

    I'm going to go out on a limb here and say we continue the great ball movement and destroy this team today. It will be important for us to get some "easy" close to the basket shots early. That way, our guards stick to the game plan and not get frustrated and try to do everything themselves. They've seen what works, and what doesn't. Go Rockets!!!

    Rockets 106

    Tpups 92

    Yao: 32 pts, 16 boards, 5 blocks and 6 dimes

    Steve: 25. 7 and 13 dimes

    This is going to be a tough game. We can not depend on holding KG to 14 pts. He will most likely get around 28 pts, 13 rebs, 5 assist.

    We need to play our game. Which is to try to push it when we have numbers or slow it down in the half court set and pound it in to Yao.

    Eddie worries me though. He just came off a HOT shooting game and he is prone to jacking up long 3s after such games. Hope he understands his role as a PF and just plays inside and shoots shots 10 ft and in. All we need from him is to play tough d, rebound, and score off of garbage baskets. 4-7 would be nice. But I am predicting a 3-11 game for Griffen. His long jumpers will cost us and he will get in foul trouble vs Garnett.

    But we still win!

    Wolves play alot better in their own crib, so this will be a close one...if we play unselfishly like the last 2 games.

    Eddie "KG's Kryptonite" Griffin gets a triple double with all 10 blocks being administered to Da Kid.

    Man....Good luck to the rockets. The T-wolves are great at home. The rockets have a crappy road record, but with their play as of late, if they dont forget the new routine of playing through yao. And if yao has the energy. its a W for the rocks tonight...i hope.
    ~~~~~!!!
    The rocks must start off hot from the very begining, just like they have their last 2 games, so that when the opponent heats up it is already too late to come back into the game. Like the kings game. The rocks were out scored by 11pts in the second half. But the 20pt lead in the first quarter was all they needed for the win.
    Not true. If x=0 then 9x=8x.
    If Houston don't win tonight, this team is not worth going to the playoff. What I mean is: they have all the pieces and basically everyone playing well right now, against a depleted wolves team. They have to win or they're worthless.
    I hope our guards learn some good things during past 2 blow out wins. When everyone is passing and finding the open man, everyone gets easy shots, easy shots translate into higher FG% and everyone is scoring in double figures. They can have a good time playing fun team ball.
    I seriously think when the rockets are playing like last 2 blow out wins, they can win the championship, there's no other teams are better than the ROX playing team ball.
    If they lose tonight, I think it's all back to the drawing board.:mad: :confused:
    Not to get OT but I'm pretty sure he's just filling in a missing digit, and not implying multiplication.
    I'm usually very optimistic... to a fault, I'm sure. I don't have a good feeling for this game, so it can only mean one thing. A win!
    Rocks by 2.
    Taking into account inflation, the 970,000 dollar question is which team the Rox decide to bring on the floor.
    The Rockets will choke away a twelve point third quarter lead and lose by two at the buzzer.
    Rockets: 100
    Wolves: 102
    This will be remembered as the game that ended the Rockets' playoff chances.
    carayip -- thanks for the wonderful info about how to catch the chinese tv broadcast of the kings game via the internet. do you (or anyone else) know if the game against the t-wolves will also be broadcast?
    is there a tv programming schedule somewhere where we can look up this sort of info?
    thanks again ;)
