We've got no back court depth right now..especially with Delfino out again indefinitely with a groin injury...do we need to activate Machado and have TD backup Harden? or wait on White's situation before adding a player? or sign a FA like Pietrus?

To get a worse draft pick und finish one place higher? Only for it if it's a prospect, not a vet.

We need better floor spacers. Either a PF or a C who can hit the 3-pointer would be nice.

    Is Mehmet Okur available?

we're 2nd in 3pts attempts and 22th in 3pts fg% , not sure i'd still want more PF/C come in and shoot more three.

I think Kevin Martin is a free agent after this season.

The Rockets need a vet who's floor presence influences good play. If a vet euqalled wins then they're nearing star territory.

For example a player like Mike Dunleavy can help a team play the right way regardless of W:L's. He's shown this ability with the Pacers and Bucks. Ball movement somehow is good whenever he's in.

With the youngest team in the league, that's what you want. It's development, because they play the right way.

Keep running Parsons at the 2 with Morris at the 3. That way they get more experience/exposure.

We are set at the 3 spot for a long time with Chandler and Morris who are our two best 3pt shooters as well. Out biggest needs are at PG and back up Shooting guard. If we were fortunate enough to win the Shabazz sweepstakes could he and Harden exist in the same back court with JHard running the point?

Cant really have another young SG to develop when you have you franchise shooting guard already starting. At this point probably another vet at the would suffice.... Peitrus is a good idea, maybe Michael Redd

    Can we do this?:
    Sign Greg Oden
Release Cook. We don't need him.
Trade Patterson, Lin to Sacramento for Aaron Brooks
    Trade White for Sullinger
    Use this line-up
    Brooks/Douglas/Machado
    Harden/Delfino
    Parsons/Jones
    Morris/Sullinger/D-Mo
    Asik/Oden/Aldrich
Pure scoring on starters. Get the D from Parsons, Harden, and Asik
Brooks is a pretty good defender and he would be good back in Houston. A solid bench. If Oden is healthy and plays well, we could actually move him to the Starting 4 and Sullinger to the 5. Maybe bring up D-Mo.
Oden/Asik frontcourt brings a tall presence.

Very unlikely, but could help a bit.

If Greg Oden wanted to play, why would he choose the Rockets?

Brooks only makes around $3.2 million, and they aren't under the cap enough to absorb both Lin/Patteron's contract. They also still have Jimmer and I.Thomas, don't see why they would want Lin.

Royce White has been huge drama going on because of his personal issues, why would the Celtics or any other team want to bring that in?
