Here's how the situation has appeared to play out...

Royce has made a claim that he has "anxiety" and the Rocket would like for their professional to evaluate him and treat him. White is hesitant about this because he claims to want to use who he picks. It strikes me as odd that he is holding out on playing for this reason and maybe it's because he is either a fraud and doesn't have anxiety issue or he knows that the Rockets' head doctor will find much worse things than anxiety after further analysis. I'm going to go with the latter.

With that kind of resume, no wonder Mchale was the only one wanted him. Could this be another factor to get Mchale fired?

I'm going with "he's truly ****ed in the head." I seriously can't be ****ed to find out what he thinks, just cut this mofo and move on. Period

McHale was pretty brilliant judging big men talent when that was his focus, but as a coach he probably has no time for in depth scouting.
If the Morey didn't trust his scouts and his own judgement, that's nobody else fault.

or he's just irrational and he was looking for a conflict because of his own subconscious insecurities. And the doctor was the first thing that popped into his head at the time.

I wouldn't be surprised if his initial conflict with Morey was completely irrational and emotional. And now he's just trying to rationalize it for everyone else and for himself with these roundabout human rights tweets. To him, it might seem like he's right, or like he's a human rights advocate, but everything about his tweets and overall situation feels like one big escape mechanism where he rationalized most of the situation to himself, and the details that don't make sense (like what's so wrong about visiting that doctor) he avoids thinking about.

Problem is Royce isn't exactly a power forward. He's a tweeter with good court vision and average ball handling skills.

he was not the only one..... Morey and Alexander gave him green light
I am just doubting he is really Top 5 on their list.... Extended Top 10 talent maybe
He could rebound and assist, and has ok handles but he does not strike me as a good scorer

Royce is back to (re)tweeting. Maybe he has toned it down a tiny bit. I don't expect that to last, though. He is a major league ass, more than anything else.

I guess it is possible to have legit mental health problems and also just be a giant prick. I mean, a guy doesn't get a free pass on everything...

At this point I hope the rockets exhaust all options to see if it can work. I don't think it's a big distraction...except to maybe Morey. We've got him under contract for 2 years. If it doesn't work out we don't pick up his option. I don't think this thing is the crisis people make it out to be. It will either work, or it won't, but this isn't a team distraction.

@Highway_30: I'm hearing a lot of God talk lately, that's great I'm a God fearing man, but at some point we have to feel responsible for each other also.

    I think he's genuinely delusional

The guy expected to be given a spot in the rotation after missing training camp and only going to practice when he felt like it.....

    He is 100% delusional.

On top of that, he seems to be a really big DORK!

"But but but, if you just give me some playing time, it might make my anxieties go away :(. No special treatment only want health #transparency I am a self proclaimed humanitarian/imaginer #hashtag!" - Royce White

This is why I could never be a psychiatrist, I do not have the patience that some of you are giving this fool, mental issues or not.

So start with the person who introduced it. It's like if I said well this Mr Politician is like Royce; he talks a great game but never gets results. It's offensive to those who like that politician. It doesn't matter how they introduced. Of course it is going to get a response by those who find it annoying!

Royce has made his disorder(s) his identity. Seeing a new (better) doctor that is interested in treating his disorders rather than accommodate them would be terrifying. Who would he be without his identity? He needs that identity to be special. childish/narcissistic but actually frightening to him i'm sure.
