he has not played a single game, yet showed tendency of drama.
I think it is time to cut it loose.

When he steps on the court, I will boo him. I wonder if his anxiety will act up.

To me, White is not only insulting the Rockets organization and Rockets fans, but he's insulting any pro sports fan out there. Kids grow up dreaming to become a professional athlete, to play a child's game and get payed big bucks for it. It's nothing like owning means of production but it's a damn good living, and I would be damn fine with it. Some people just have a natural talent and some work at it, regardless, this guy made it to the pro level. He's acting like he's above being a pro basketball player which is a d&*k move. What about most of us who don't make it and have to work for a living? We would kill for an opportunity like his and he's just throwing it away. That to me is the biggest insult to anybody that loves the game of basketball or any sport for that matter. I understand having anxiety. I know people with PTSD and bi polar and they have their problems but I found out one thing. Laughter is the best medicine.

This guy comes to me as a germaphobic too scared to get close to someone as well. I thought it would have been something like this " You want me stick my thing in that wet nasty thing" "What" "Ahhhhhhh" "Get away from me b****!!!"
"You're too close to me".. "Ahhhhhh"...

Don't walk away from this bum....RUN! This is a sneak preview of the world of Royce Drama the Rockets will be in for if we keep him on the team. He's shown repeatedly that he has other priorities, and that's fine....good for you Royce, but the Rockets have invested heavily into you because you said you wanted to play pro basketball. Millions of dollars to this rookie and he's acting like he has earned the key to the city, just because he's faced some hurdles in his life. People do it all the time, and may don't earn enough to buy groceries AND electricity. This will continue and only get worse if we placate him. Cut ties as soon as it's strategically feasible for the team, and move on. Get well Royce, but I'm way beyond sick of hearing your boo-hoo stories. I have plenty of my own, and I still get up and go to work each day. You're a spoiled brat who things this world already revolves around you because you have problems and can dribble well for a big man. Close the book Rockets! Bring in someone who is actually hungry, and who wants to be here.

I hope White saw T Jones play today, and decided to get his act together and join the team, starting in the D-League.

    We can use him.

He has too much of a ceiling. Be patient. Work with him, Rockets knew the mental illness concerns coming in.

I truly believe Royce White wants to be a Houston ROcket.

If the Rockets are serious about retaining Royce White, then they need to find a way to get Fred Hoiberg on their staff. How Hoiberg was able to get White to play, and at such a high level, is flat out incredible.

White is completely self absorbed and out of touch with reality right now. Still pulling for a miracle, but the odds are long.

Yup (If I'm seeing your comment right)

To clarify my previous comment better:

Nothing NEW here to say on matters. I'm NOT saying its OKAY to treat Royce White like some ENEMY. Yes that can get overblown with people just needing some whipping boy to lash at to feel better about THEMSELVES. Yeah people put down the pitchforks

Was just saying that Royce's actions are simply deserving of critique on a NORMAL level as much as anyone can bring it upon themselves. Royce White put himself in public view as the victim, and is attacking the credibility of the entire organization. Of COURSE there's gonna be STRONG opinions

And there ARE people like ME who are ROOTING for him. Its unfortunate that he's making it difficult to do it

    ''have a daughter, I have a son''

and so does 100's of other NBA pplayers, wth? for whatever reason this dude thinks hes above everyone else, an unproven rookie for that matter?

this kid has some nerve, he conned the NBA into thinking he would be worth a first round pick.. thats deceitful, and those 15 other teams who drafted before us are saying, "thats why I didnt draft him"

I say try one more time to reason with this troubled kid and if he flakes out again, then cut your losses and move on, we'll be just fine.

you would think given his alleged anxiety, Royce would welcome going to the D-league, no pressure and spotlight there

    Dear Royce,
YOU are in the real world now so most people do not care about YOU or YOUr problems. You are being paid to play basketball so if YOU do not play than YOU will not get paid. YOU need to do what is right for YOUr family. It is all on YOU. You need to make as much money as YOU can because YOUr window to make a life style change is starting to close. I hope for YOU and YOUr family's sake YOU can over come YOUr personal differences. It is all on YOU.
    -Fattz

Clutchfans we may think we care about him but most don't. In few years or so he will be a punch line of a joke or an after thought - if that - see E.G. The only reason most know about him is because we drafted him a few short months ago. I am not vested in this person at all. The streets and prisons are full of peolpe just like him --> Nice / good people that can not over come their personal differences. Do you care about EACH of them? I am a sports fan to escape my reality not change the world.
