I love how Lin gets crapped on for every mistake he makes and no credit for his positives (10 assists). Yet everyone just glances over Harden's shortcomings like his terrible defense. What he scores he gives up near as much on the other end. He got abused on D all night.

Its gonna be a long season for this team. Have a feeling we finish 11th in the west this year.

Do we even get a lottery pick this year or no?

I still firmly believe that they're a match after watching the first two games, and during those games they did exactly that and Harden only had to create off the PnR.

Our coaching staff has no clue what they're doing.

Seriously. Lin ran the offense just fine. Team scored well over a hundred points. Rockets have no answer for Lakers front court. The hate for Lin is strong on this board. He gets blamed for this loss even though he performed admirably.

Hoopsworld showing it as 8 all across. Ok I was wrong about the back loading thing. But Still why not Dragic?

This is the most miscoached team I've followed since the Bill Musselman coached Cleveland Cavaliers back in the late 1970s/early 1980s. (And I've followed a LOT of teams and coaches since that time.) The Lakers have a huge front court, and we keep putting Patterson out there, saving Morris and Smith for the bench, and no T Jones.

Offensively, the starters hardly set any screens. Which is why the offense has been dysfunctional in most part. (The bench does OK here.) The lack of rebounders gets us killed on the boards, because the coaches keep our best rebounders on the bench.

Basketball is a game of matchups. During the preseason, I thought this was a very promising team. I thought Terrence Jones was going to get major minutes. But the players, from Jeremy Lin to Terrence Jones, are being grossly misused.

You may also want to ask Rox management why they got rid of Lowry, Hill, Scola. All three of these guys could have helped the team tonight.

If you want to blame them for picking up Lin, you need to blame them for the whole house cleaning. Lin is effectively still a rookie. It's misleading to compare him to Dragic, when he was part of the house cleaning.

Asik didn't play well at all man. Harden played better. Asik missed his free throws, and played absolutely no "D" on Howard.

Asik just needs to learn how to position himself, and he'll be fine.

    On the bright side:
Jones got some quality playing time and I like the team effort of our bench. Parsons and Patterson seem to be out of their slump.
Steve Francis is still alive.. not much else.

He won't have to run the show if we surround him with competent players. He would just be an important part of the show.

It's simple. The quality of girls in Houston <<<<<< NY.

Lin's not scoring as well both on and off the court.

Lakers are simply a better team, can't really be too mad about losing this game.

Parsons after a slow start is really showing the improvements we thought we would see.

Jones needs to start, patterson needs to go.

Lin is basically Rafer Alston, with an even worse shot right now.

This team has a bright future. I'm not worried at all and in fact I still expect them to be around .500 by season's end. So inexperienced, and so many guys coming into their own. I even think Lin has been better than people think he has, just wish his shots would start falling.
