What a difference a week makes. Flacco at home is at best slightly better than Schaub. On the road, gimme Schaub any day and twice on Sunday
he had a man right on him. it happens. greenbay got away with 2 similar plays. 8 still remains the most underappreciated player. It'd be one thing it the national pundits, but it's mostly local idiots and fantasy fans. ohhhh said and said threw for 400 yards...no s*** their offenses call for them to throw a godly amount of passes.
You have to be some type of loser/hater to throw once piece of critique at Schaub after this guy just threw for 527 yards and 5 TDs. He was every part of the comeback and win that Andre was.
Underappreciated for sure (I'm happy with him as our qb), but his armstrength blows. Great QB but I always hold my breath when he winds up to throw a big one. Most of this season, he's had guys wide open off the playaction so it hasn't been an issue, but he still has a weak arm.
That play in overtime was underthrown because he didn't step into it...had nothing to do with his arm strength.
i mean in general, he can lob it that far. And in our offense you only drop those plays once a game. Arm strength is overrated.
Agreed. Sanchez can sling it 70 yards deep, but there's no way he could do what Schaub just did. Matt rarely makes a bad decision. *sniffs* that's my quarterback *sniffs*
When you throw it 50-60 times in the NFL, just by chance you're gonna run into a mistake through the air. Schaub was almost just due for an INT in that underthrow. And that was a credit to Jags D for the QB pressure to disrupt the velocity on the pass You saw Chad Henne's big arm rifle a ball from 6 yards away right through Blackmon's hands, no touch. Sometimes its little things like being composed to dump of a routine pass that counts.
While I can't say racking up points against the jags is I credible, but at least Schaub showed tons of poise bringing us from 14 down in the 4th. Especially in brushing off his int the drive before. I wrote in another thread that I wasn't sure how the Texans will look in a shoot out. I thought we'd get tested against Detroit or patriots. Never thought it'd be against the Jaguars.
jags keep opposing qbs to a mid 80's quarterback rating, which is less than everyone in the broncos division, where a certain qb has to throw 40 times coming from behind (insert joke) and comparable to all the defense's the broncos offense have faced, minus the steelers and us of course.
