    "Rookie Wall
Want to see a preview of the Rockets' NBA-title teams from '05 - '08? Check out the box score from Houston's 105-89 dismantling of the Webber-less Kings: Griffin 22 pts, Francis and Mobley 21 pts each, Yao 18 pts, 11 reb, 6 ast, 4 blocks. The only "wall" Yao is experiencing is as anchor of a "Block Party" team defense that recorded a season-high 13 swats. But the biggest party will come Sunday, when Rick Adelman plays Yao and Shaq together at some point during the All-Star Game with Garnett. Best ... frontcourt ... ever."

Can you imagine that, Yao and Shaq w/ KG all at the same time... Thats going to be fun to watch...

That would be the tallest front court ever..

How about we try this line up for fun. We move Duncan to SF, Nowitski at SG and Garnett at PG.

    Yao 7'5
    Shaq 7'1
    Duncan 7"0
    Nowitski 7"0
    Garnett 7"0

That would be fun to watch.

The sick thing is, those guys wouldn't play THAT bad in those positions. I mean, Nowitski would get killed by opposing 2's on the defensive end (as would Duncan by the 3's, etc.) but the fact that it wouldn't be a huge stretch for those guys is absolutely mind boggling.

They should try that lineup. Even if a 2 drives past Dirk, they will have to contend with Yao, Shaq and Duncan in the paint. In a half court set, opponents would be forced to shoot long jumpers or floaters. They would not get anything inside.

This thread is becoming quite entertaining. Seeing an all 7' line-up in the all-star game would make it a must see just for the novelty factor.

Stevie would love it. 4 big guys to use as screens and decoys for him to jack up jumpers..

Man that is sick, Yao, Shaq and Garnett at the same time? If Adelman plays that frontcourt I would root for the Kings to win a championship (barring they don't play the Rockets), just to reward Adelman for running a frontcourt like that! lol! The East is going to get slaughtered up front.

Not every team can be made up of 7 footers .....

    But this one CAN!

What if that line-up kicks some serious ass? Will the NBA teams follow suit? :)

I wouldn't be all that much fun unless Steve was in there somewhere. ;)

Steve can play in the NBA one on one championship against his buddy Cat.

Only 1 rule in the game. Have to dribble between the legs 20 times before you are allowed to shoot.

I know guys don't play defense in the All-Star Game... but obviously Ben Wallace will, what else is he going to do in there?

And if so, Yao's gonna have some problems. Ben Wallace is exactly the type of player (strong, quick, tenacious rebounder) that Yao has the most problems with on the offensive end... and he's the best in the league at it.

I project Yao Ming taking only 1 shot with Ben Wallace on him, and instead passing out a lot for a couple of assists in the first quarter.

I'm trying to remember a center since (non-center) Ralph Sampson having a big ASG? Hakeem never did. It's a guard's game.

Hey Rock, I think you're forgetting about Vinsanity!! He'll dunk over Yao, Shaq AND Duncan all at once! :p

(VC: most over-rated NBA player today)

    Right..... ...I know u are joking.;)

VC should not be on the alstart starting line up. He has only played like 8 games. It is sad how the Alstar game has turned into a Popularity Contest instead of being determined by how good you have been the first half of the season.:(

Duncan and Shaq shared MVP in 2000 (Garnett actually had better numbers than Shaq), but that's the only time since big Ralph.
